Off-line by
Noreen's Knit*che
I'm going off-line for the time being.
I'm pursuing an old crafting hobby that I used to immensely
enjoy.
I'm also vacationing from the uproar I apparently caused with my
rant and vent post.
Apologies.
Noreen
(off-line means I not only won't be HERE, I won't be checking
email either.)

Bryan
Well my sister finally decided on the 1970's fringed triangle Shawl, got 90%
done (like 5 more rows + fringe to go) I have found more pictures on the
shawl we're really looking for. I'm of course going to finish the one I'm
doing, but would love to surprise her with both!
This was spotted on ebay,...

?knitting & Crochet began when? by
Bubba Gump
Hi everyone. I am wondering if anyone knows of any informative website on
the beginning of crochet and knitting. I have been looking but I just seem
to find sites with patterns and items for sale. I wanted to see where it
all started for both crochet and knitting. Any help will be...

post cards by
Norma
Hi, Mirjam came up with the idea of the postcards (which I think is a good
one and I'm starting to do that). What do you think of a photo of each of
us? Then we could put a face to the name? Just a thought.

Granny square? by
Shulamit Umansky
Well, now that I'm here I am going to ask tons of questions! :-)
The granny square is the easiest crocheted square, right? Well, I must admit
I cannot do it. For some reason it gets all crumpled, not flat as it should
be.
Please - does someone have directions that work? I tried some from...

Just a Comment! by
Brian D
Hi the
Just thought I'd add my comment/opinion here regarding the latest rant/rave.
I'm one of the people who doesn't have a clue about the situation at hand.
It seems that some people here have been very "hurt" and "disappointed" by
someone from this newsgroup....a very unfortunately...

Hi all, just to let you know that Nora and Noreen have come onboard with me
to form a small management team. They have both been helping me anyway,
checking with extra mail, and covering holidays for me, so it was a natural
step to take..Hope everyone will welcome them in their new...

Re : BTW - regarding my Rant and Vent by
Noreen's Knit*che
One more clarification, it has NOTHING to do with Nora, and the projects she heads up.

BTW - regarding my Rant and Vent by
[email protected]
BTW, as I said, it has absolutely nothing to do with the 6 x 6 exchange.
Nor does it have anything to do with the surprise I'm heading up, NOR does
it have anything to do with the people I'm doing Kool-Aid exchanges with/for.
Just wanted to clarify that.
Thanks,
Noreen

ATTN Katherine - Snowflakes by
Sue Carlson Dunn
Katherine, my reply to your email bounced right back, so I'll post
here instead...
I didn't think that I'd sent you the pattern, but I checked my
bookmarks anyway, just in case there was something I'd forgotten
about - no luck on that or a straightforward Google search :-(
Then I did a quick search...

Last year, someone here was talking about knitted snowflakes. Well, as you
know, I had a major computer meltdown. Could you please write me again about
them?

Att'n: SueCD / parcel arrived by
Noreen's Knit*che
Sue, the parcel arrived today, and I have emailed you offlist as well, but
I wanted to post here, and let people know that "HOMELAND SECURITY" IS in
force, and apparently doing their job, as the parcel was a cone of yarn,
obviously odd-shaped, so the FBI opened and secured it. I now am the...

Aurora! by
Norma
What a sight! My DH and I came home from town around 7pm our time. When we
got out of the car, and looked up, there was the most phenomenal aurora.
I've seen quite a few in the 12 years we've lived here, but this one was
something else! It was a brilliant red, shading into a hot pink. It was like
a...

OT - I just do not believe this!!!!! by
Pirjo Ilvesvuori
Yesterday I took things easy. I was a bit tired and thought
'I must go to bed now, otherwise I will faint to this
place.' Well, no hope of dreamland...Why? Because of my good
friend, you-surely-know-her, SMSed me and invited into her
place. So off I went. We watched The Lion King II. I have
seen...

I just knit hotpads by
Mlle Ilvesvuori
Last night I knitted one hotpad again. It will come to the kitchen of this
working place of mine. But the kitchen is only in the head of my boss, not
in the real world yet. The cleaning closet has come reality. But who would
keep hotpads in the cleaning closet? No one, or at least not me....
