Sorceress
Shoddy postal service aside, I received my squares today from Dennis -- who
is forever lodged in my mind as "Gramps" now. They're 2 crocheted squares in
my ideal colors of the moment (we think alike apparently). They both have
raised center medallions, one in blue/cream, one in...

Binding off for garment by
bibe
What is a good way to have a stretchy bind off for a circular garment? The
particlar piece I want to do at the momnet is a hat that has been knitted
from top to bottom, but it could be for any garment. I admit that I had
usually not payed much attention to how I would bind off, but my bind off
row...

About NYCO by
Mlle Ilvesvuori
Hi ladies!
Oh boy...I think the project I am knitting...it is not counted in that
stuff. Why? It does not come to myself. Oh no. I should knit a winterskirt
to myself...just have not started yet. Am not sure if I ever get it started,

You work until the armholes and then start dividing for the fronts and back
(it is a button up sweater). Well anyway the instructions for shaping the
neck state to put 13 sts at center front on a holder and then work...

Att'n: Barbara Vaughan-regarding offlist email by
Noreen's Knit*che
Hi Barbara,
I was quite afraid the table I posted with the new international yarn
standards *would* do what it did to you in your newsreader... I posted it
from my default newsreader, then checked it on one of my others and it got
all 'mucked up'..... FYI, the baby IS listed in both the superfine...

Can you actually make decent clothes with crochet? by
news.sonic.net
I haven't yet splurged on the crocheted socks book, although I've beeen
lusting after it. But I haven't found a sock pattern that I like.
I see lots of cute baby clothes to crochet, but no cute grown-up sweaters.
Will I need to learn how to knit to escape from afghan, shawl and scarf
world?

Worsted socks by
Provided44
Hi, all,
How many of you make your socks out of worsted yarn? I know its a little thick
to wear under shoes, but nice and toasty as well as inexpensive. They're made
up nice and fast, too.

The chances of me finishing anything else this month are really slim,
since I am on the beginning part of a first sock of a pair, half way up
the back of a cabled gansey and might be just starting a pair of
slippers for Dominic. However, I have finished one more thing today,
and that makes 5 FOs...
