I just recently received a White machine Model No. 742 for my birthday.
It was my Aunt's mother's and the manual is nowhere to be found! I

sewing machines. LOTS of sewing machines. by
Jack Campin - bogus address
Marion and I spent Xmas and New Year in Istanbul (well, actually,
New Year and the Muslim Feast of the Sacrifice, as Xmas hardly
exists there and we like it that way).
One place we went to was one I've been curious to visit for a long
time: the centre of Turkey's cassette/CD/DVD industry. From...

Duvet cover for blanket without ties by
Myrna
HI, Everyone,
I recently purchased a duvet cover for a blanket I've had forever. It
does not have corner ties. So I'm wondering what you'd suggest I do to
be able to use the ties in the duvet cover. Should I sew buttons onto
the blanket? I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks,
Myrna

Perfect fit waist mechanism--where has it disappeared to? by
Missouri Mule
I fell in love with TravelSmith's perfect fit pants which have clever
side adjustment mechanisms which combined, give you up to about 6
inches of extra space which is GREAT for weight gain or for
over-indulging at dinner. Now TravelSmith has eliminated these
wonderful pants and I've gone crazy on...

NE Sailboat
I own a sailboat. As such, lots to sew. But .. I don't know anything about
sewing.
I got a book, told me to find an old machine, and I posted in town.
A lady called and offered me an old EMDEKO sewing machine. It is metal.
Is this machine going to do it for me? Will I be able to sew through...

I need help with a serger technique! by
OldKnitter
Hi. I'm not sure I've even made it to the right group, so please feel
free to redirect me.
I got a serger in November, and I also bought a couple of books that
seem to cover the basics. Except one. Or, maybe the instructions are
there but I'm too dense to translate them. My problem is that I...
