Looking for a discontinued yarn by
chris
Four rows short of finishing a project, I've discovered the color of
yarn I'm using is no longer available. If anyone has a skein (or more)
in their stash that they no longer need, I'd be happy to purchase it
via Paypal.
It's Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride BULKY in color M36 (a soft, medium...

Looking for a pattern by
[email protected]
Hi everybody, I'm new around here.
I do a lot of work outside during the winter (brrrrrr), and I have been
wanting to knit my own pair of long john pants to wear under my work
pants. (I am thinking about alpaca as a fiber). But I haven't had any
luck finding a pattern.
Does anyone know of...

*buying* Fair Isle socks by
YarnWright
Georgia spun a FINE 'yarn':
I wanted to buy some Fair Isle socks for DS--and yeah, $16 plus
shipping would be much less of an investment than the time it would
take to knit them--and I saw some in the Garnet Hill catalog. But
they turned out to be 43% nylon, and that seemed like too much....

Is anyone else noticing by

WoolyGooly spun a FINE 'yarn':
The current "trendy" cap for both girls and boys of middle- and high
school age seems to be a modified helmet, similar to the one shown in
the link below only without the chin strap. Maybe I'm just seeing
them more because I've been thinking about laying off...

Greetings Group,

I'm all thumbs and left handed. I am hoping I can find a group which
will work with me as I try to knit one purl two.
Welcome aboard!
I'm left-handed, but knit and...

Now that i read your description i know i have seen people do it ,
only it didn`t have this name ,,,, not that i can recall them calling
it anything but a changeable heel , and the woman who was doing it
indeed prepared 2 spare ones ,,, which she later would graft in place
of the one that got...

Moebius scarf questions by

Has someone in this crowd of accomplished knitters made a Moebius scarf? I
finally got one started, following directions I got online, and it's coming
out awfully small--more like a Moebius strait-jacket!
Directions called for casting on 150 sts, to be knit at 5 sts/inch....

stocking caps by
enigma
when i was in 7th grade, waaaaaay back in the late 60s, there
was a fad for stocking caps, the caps that have long points
that hang down & usually end in a pompom or tassle. the one i
had was exceptionally long (4'), so that the tail could be
wrapped around my neck to act as a scarf. i think it...

I was searching google for some pure silk patchwork pieces and I got
this site. Not what I was looking for but some lovely yarns. Made me
feel as if I wanted to get the needles clicking again. It is a Uk

Hi to All. I'm Elaine living in California. So how big is your stash?
Mine is way too big. I usually have several projects going at once
and probably some I have totally forgotten about. I recently am trying
to learn to weave on an Inkle loom and have been toying with hand
spinning. I just...

Stitches East 2006 by
DA
Did anyone else attend Stitches this year? Of the 15 that I have attended,
this one was the best. So much great yarn, it was hard to resist
temptation. 10 hanks of hand dyed cashmere, two hanks of hand dyed angora,
enough Prism Wild Stuff for two sweaters and a couple of bags of Berroco
yarns...

Hairpin Lace help please! by
Jackie
I'm trying to make a scarf from two strips of hairpin lace, made from a
two colors of fairly chunky yarn. I have linked the two strips
togeterher and it looks great -- but how do I keep the outer loops from
eventually coming undone? They look like they would eventually just
work themselves out of...
