Very OT - funny Russian website by
Anna MCM
Yesterday I found this very funny website, with funny mistakes from
newspapers, ads and other stuff.
A little bit Jay Leno´s style :-D
http://www.tema.ru:8084/rrr/MAPA3M/
I wanted to share it with you, since there are other Russian speakers
here :-)
For those who don´t speak Russian I translate...

6 x 6 project (?) by

I missed this, too, since I was out for Labor Day and my birthday and
having computer trouble at home. Noreen and I could be matched, it seem
s to me. I was a little confused about the color aspect of this, though.

What is wrong with us girls? by

But do you believe:
I am sitting here with bad conscience.
I am just thinking of what I SHOULD have done!
*irritating!!!!*
Now, now.... what you SHOULD do is exactly what your doctor ordered. Make a
list of all that other stuff you think of, and you can do it later (or not).
If it makes...

Fair Island by
Anna MCM
No, I am not going to knit a Fair Island sweater (I would like to be
able) but I just have looked at a very interesting documentary film
about the Fair Island.
What a magical and irreal place!
A lovely lady runs the local knitting museum and told about the story of
two colours knitting. The knitted...

TKGA members? by
Karen
Hello all,
Is anyone here a member of the TKGA (Knitting Guild of America)? I have
picked up a couple of Cast-On magazines, and checked out their website, and
they seem to offer a lot of instruction to members -- videos, entire "level"
programs, lessons. I'm curious as to, for anyone that may...

Knitted Scalloped Edging by
Marsie
BlankHello everyone. I am making a pair of baby booties (soon to be a grandma in about a week!). The instructions call for a plain stockinette stitch for the cuff. Is there an easy way to make a shell or a pretty edging to dress up the cuff? These are for a baby girl so I wanted to fancy them...

It's all your fault.....(G) by

Motivated by my renewed interest in knitting and all the talk about clearing
out "stashes"....I got to the craft closet today. (G)
All needlwork is now in one box, all knitting and crocheting in another. I
find I have all kinds of left over yarn that can be put to use for scarves,
hats and mittens...

Knitting back? by

I mastered purling back (ie, purling off the left needle and onto the
right) when I was working on the garter shawl (for which I still need
to spin!). Now I'm making these damned hairy mohair scarves as
Christmas pressies. The current one is 15 sts on #13 needles and the

summers over by
NoraBalcer
Norma,
Fall has arrived in upstate NY too. I had to wear a jacket when I went shopping
this morning. On the news last night some were complaining that Labor Day came
to fast and the newscaster said, don't worry in nine months it will be Memorial
Day and the start of summer time again. Just look at...

OT Hello by
Ria Van de Velde
The long hot summer seems to be over here. Kids are back to school,
and life slowly returns to normal. I spent a lot of time outside,
working or sitting in the garden, or biking, or picknicking in the
park with the neighbours. The weather was too nice to spend more time
at the computer than...
