I need a very small plier with nylon jaws.... by
Jim Caldwell
I am making 14 KT wire-wrap rings. It requires flat-nosed pliers that are
very small, and and need to have a soft material on the tips like nylon. I
got one from an internet jewelry supply that is the right size....4.5 mm
wide by 1 mm thick tips. Problem is, I have to wrap the tips...

Craig Cochran
Hello, all:
This may be a silly question, but I've got to ask it. Is it possible
to somehow remove engraving (personalizations) from the case back of a
gold wris****ch? Please share your thoughts.
Thanks a lot,

I hope this topic has not yet been discussed to death, but I did a
search and nothing really came up, so...
How can I prevent nicks and marks from my pliers when I work with
wire?
I have tried several things that were suggested to me: I put both

I've enjoyed reading your informative group and I believe I can find

high ticket items like 14K and/or diamond jewelry.
I am aware of widespread high markups in the retail jewelry...

I remember seeing... by

....someone on this group writing "pieces too light for long wear". Which
brought me to my question. If we're talking chains, what would be "too light
for long wear" (everyday wear)? Any general oppinions, especially if we're
talking pendant chains? Thank you!

Catalog recyclers beware! END OF THREAD by
Peter W. Rowe
Hi folks.
This thread started as an only barely on topic message, with only slight
relevance to this group.
It's devolving into a discussion on personal finance and credit card debt.
I've let it go, since the thread started out OK, and normal usenet practice says
a reply to an allowable post is...

Stamped silver circles by
Todd Rich
Well, I just got bit by the Stuller buyout of Swest. I used to order
fine silver stamped circles (1 3/4" and 2" dia.) from Swest, and Stuller
won't carry them. Any suggestions of where to go to get them? (Sterling
won't do, this is for enamelling)

E beads? by

OK, I'm feeling pretty stupid - I have a pattern for an ornament that calls

will be stringing them on 24 gauge wire.
I don't know when I'll make it back here, so I'd appreciate if you would
email your response to...

I am looking for the mother lode of acrylic jewels. Specifically, large,
faceted, brightly colored plastic jewels. The ones we want are a little
bit smaller than a golf ball. Please reply by mail, I don't visit this

called a Yasimite but I haven't been able to independently verify the
