new technique with jones tones foil !!!!! by
xtine
Dear poly friends,
I developped a new technique to tranfer Jones Tones foil to inked clay!
First you photocopy a nice picture with a toner base ink , then you apply
the copy face down on your clay. You burnish slightly and you apply acetone
( in your hardware store) with a Q-tip. The transfer on...

Allen Mealer
I'm using Future brand floor polish as a finish for some of my first pieces;
after it dries, do I need to rebake in order to "harden" or seal the finish

My First Class by
Diana Curtis
Some might think that having a single person show up would be a
dissappointment, but for me it was perfect. My student and I had fun
covering real blown eggs with clay, then she took off on her own and covered
a pen and made beads! I got to explain a lot of the basics with her, and she
saw how...

EoPC by
Georgia
Maybe Richard was right; apparently this group is far enough below the radar
that no one from the National Guild has posted that EoPC has been cancelled:
From the EoPC discussion board at Polymer Clay Central (and several other
boards):
Dear Polymer Clay Community,
It is with deep regret that the...

Newbie Question by
Allen Mealer
I'm going to give polymer clay a try and bought a sample pack of Sculpy III
from my local Wal-Mart just to play with and try. Since there is a limited
amount of each color, how would the basic Sculpy white do as a base for
making beads, hearts and other solid-core...

I purchased the Kato clay samples, and am finally finding the time to "play"
with the clay.
It has been stored with all my other clay... Premo, Sculpey, and Fimo... in
a temp controlled...

I've read about baking on styrofoam peanuts and other mediums but has
anyone tried baking on a silpak sheet? (a non-stick liner for baking
cookies and such.) I'd appreciate hearing suggestions on what is best
to bake PC on. I will be making figurines about 5-8" tall.
Also, how about baking in a...

I need help identifying the sheets.
A (long) while ago, I bought a package of Flex-I-Grit sanding film,

didn't work.
I had bought some lazer tran and the other similar paper, but...
