Potters' tools by
Binkie
Hi - the tools are in Teesside (well, someone has to live there) but would
be light to post. Is anyone interested?

Potters' tools by
Binkie
Hi - a good home needed for some potters' tools. We have now retired and
have sold the bigger items (though a wall mounted clay extruder - not a
pugmill - still remains and is available). Any offers? Different sized
hollowing out tools, slip trailers, modelling tools, etc.

Q. about glazing techniques by
bking
First of all, I'm not a potter, I'm an interested onlooker.
I have some questions, I wondered if it's appropriate
to ask them here. I don't have access to a university
library and our local library has nothing that will help.
If you can recommend any books that would be good
too.
I would like to...

bailey wheels by
Bluehowler
I've searched the google rec.crafts.pottery for advice on Bailey
wheels. It all seems to be positive, but most of the entries are a
year or two old. Does anyone care to put there two cents in on the
subject again? I'm thinking of the ST100 or ST200 - I'm not sure if I
need 100 lb capacity, but I...

Bailey Mini-Might slab roller by
Bluehowler
I'm in desperate need of a slab roller - of course the one I really
want is out of my price range, but I was wondering if anyone has had
any experience with the Bailey Mini-Might? It's in my price range,
but I'm afraid it might be too wimpy to bother with. Thanks for...

"Copper Red Glazes" book by
Bob Masta
Just got some pottery books from Edward R. Hamilton
(www.hamiltonbook.com), including "Copper Red Glazes"
by Robert Tichane for only US$4.95. This is a pretty
amazing book, since it looks like Tichane has spent a
*lot* of time experimenting with these glazes and is
graciously sharing his results. ...

Jelly Jars by
Bob Masta
The latest Ceramics Monthly has a great article on
Willam Sawhill's Crystalline Glazes. Besides this
subject, it also mentions that "His fall project for
many years was making jelly jars, which were then
filled with mom's garden-fresh, homemade blackberry
jam, offered as presents to friends and...

How can they DO that! by
Bob Masta
There's a small mall near me (in Ann Arbor, Michigan) that has a store
catering to the local Chinese population. Last week dozens of giant
pots (4 feet tall or more) appeared in the hallway outside the store.
I looked at the prices on some of the pieces that appealed to me, such
as a chest-high...
