Our Marine by
Connie Einarson
I spent the last 3 months with my DD and her family being Grandma in
residence as she finished getting her RN. She has 2 darling boys and a
job as an LPN at the Birth Center, so Grandma helped out for her final
semester. She graduated Dec. 18th. From there I went to spend a couple
of weeks with...

OT We're done, Jo and Susan next by
Polly Esther[_5_]
Proud to report that our granddaughter's wedding to-do was oh so lovely and
sweet and so far as I know, everyone survived. Profound heart-felt thank
you to you for your good wishes and prayers.
The veil - all 10 yards - that I hand hemmed and pearl edged was just
right.
The flower girl...

quilter block by
Taria[_2_]
So I am going to try and finish up some projects that have stopped
me at various stages. I have out my tumblers top and am trying to work
out a border. The quilt room has lots of fabrics all over the place.
I have been pulling looking for just the right colors. DH wandered
through a few minutes...

A new Wall quilt. by
John
I decided to do a version of a Civil War era quilt, that I found in
Barbara Brackman's Book Civil War Quilts. It is called Log Fence. I
had purchased a bunch of Reproduction fabrics from the authorized
Virginia Quilt Museum reproduction fabric series, along with some Moda
Civil War era reproduction...

Hi Kate,
Are we "Getting it Done Again in 2010"? I know I need the kick up the
posterior that your Yahoo group gives me, even if I only finished one
thing on my list last year. Now we are in a new year I can start again
and hope to do better.

New Janome in April? by
I.E.Z.
I got an e-mail announcing "New machines, including the quilting model
you've been hoping and waiting for."
Unfortunately, they're being very mysterious about it and it won't debut
until April. I'm hoping it won't be TOO pricey or larded with embroidery
capability that I already have and don't...

Linen in quilt? by
Sunny[_2_]
I've used bits of linen in wall quilts, which won't have to be washed.
But do any of you use linen in regular quilts? I'm just curious. I
love the way it looks and feels in hand, but I'm wondering if it would
be a bad mistake to include some in a lap quilt.

Another sewing machine to buy by
John
As if I wasn't full up on sewing machines. Along comes Babylock with
their new Sashiko sewing machine. It is a single purpose machine to
replicate the Sashiko stitch on traditional Japanese quilts. I so want
one of these things. I know that it is an "unnecessary" purchase, and
I don't know what...

I feel invincible! LOL I'm making a journal cover for a swap over at
the Fiber Art Trader's group (unhappily apt for me as the short name
is 'FAT group'). The...

Posted pics by
Sunny[_2_]
Hi, http://www.flickr.com/photos/onetexsun/ I posted some pics of
projects that involve fabric and sewing and generally stuff that my
household calls "quilting." It's really crafty stuff -- and I've never
done this crafty stuff before. But have a look and let me know what
you think.

Free to Good Home, Charm Squares by
Sherry
I have about a 1/2 pack of Moda's Hello Betty charm squares. I'm in
the middle of
organizing the various stages of disarray that I call a sewing room
and they are
in the pile of "things I will never use." I'd love for someone else to
be able to use them.
It's really bad in here. I haven't felt...
