Rhino costume by
romanyroamer
Hi people,
my latest challenge is to make a rhino costume for a 11 year old boy! It
has to have bulky shoulders and make him look ....well like a rhino, big and
bulky. It is for a school play, The Lion King. Any ideas? I must say this
one has nearly got me stumped!!. TIA.........Amelia in Australia

Elastic w/ buttonholes by
Sarah Dale
Hexe wrote:
I bought some 1/2 in wide elastic with buttonholes in it. I know for
what purpose I bought it, but for what is it intended? I bought it to
make extensions on those days I BLOAT and my pants don't fit; is that
the purpose?
A very good use! I'm currently living on the stuff...

Frustrated by fabric search! by
Penelope Baker
Greetings:
This fall season, it would seem that jacquard monotone is a fantastic trend
for blazers, jackets, coats, etc for women. I'm DYING to find a nice
light-upholstery weight black on black jacquard (no shine) but I'm stumped!
Does anyone have any suggestions??
Thank you so much in...

I would like to make a one-piece item of fitted/top sheets for my
non-standard shape mattress in our RV.
I have a pattern for the fitted bottom sheet which I got on the
Internet and I thought to just attach the top sheet. I see a problem,
though, crushed toes. I though to sew in several pleats...

Michael Mitchell
I am trying to sew on this little Singer tiny tailor machine, but can't seem
to get the bottom thread to cooperate. The bobbin is wound right, but it is
off set to the right of the needle. I don't know how to get the bottom
thread under the needle, and the instructions seem like something...

So, I've finally got my hands on a Singer Deluxe Monogrammer that
works on my machine, and I'm toying with it. It may be interesting
once I've managed to collect more cams for it.
I've been watching ebay very carefully for a while now to get it. I've
deduced a few things about mechanical...

The hemp ribbing is pretty thick and I bought some clear nylon thread

Surviving the Thanksgiving Weekend by

Hi:
Did everyone have a good holiday weekend? I know I did, but only
because I was sewing. It had been a while since I had the machine out,
but boy it was relaxing with all the hustle and bustle of familiy
activities to just sit quietly by myself and sew.
Hope you all had a good holiday...
