Ben Smith
I want to enrich the colour of some standard 9ct yellow gold sheet which is
to be applied to a silver item. Un-treated the gold is pale yellow and
doesn't contrast enough with the silver.
I have managed to darken the metal a bit, but not enough.
Questions:
If the alloy has a high silver content,...

Platinum ring markings by
Spivieguy1
I have a mens platinum wedding band with the marking "W_Plat". I have
read that that "pt" or "plat" as well as "900" or "950" would identify
the purity of the ring. However I am baffeled by the "w" in this
marking. Can Anyone clear this up for me?

Hi Liz,
My daughters and I are new to jewelry making. I was so excited when I read
your post mentioning the programs for kids available as part of your group.
Can you please share the name of the group or a website so that we may get
involved?
Thanks so much!

3D Modeling tool for diamonds and rings on a website. by
Paul Krush
I wrote a dynamic diamond and ring modeling tool that's free to use,
and works in a web page.
It lets you model most diamonds in 3D, loose or with simple tiffany
style rings. You can compare 2 stones or rings at a time. Being 3D you
can view, zoom, or pan from any angle. It lets you pick the carat...

Foredom foot pedal by
C Ryman
Hi all,
I have a used Foredom and the foot pedal does not work well. I've had
problems before with my glass grinder foot pedal, maybe I have a heavy foot.
Is there anything I should try or do I need to order a new pedal?
Thanks,
