OT -- I just need to whine by
the black rose
This hasn't exactly been a banner year.
It started with an abnormal mammogram in March. That *still* isn't
resolved, though I should find out next Thursday what the results of the
MRI are. Maybe they'll finally decide what's really going on in there.
Precancerous changes seems to be the best...

Fabric Bowls interfacing advice by
Nann Hilyard
I had a piece of Fast2Fuse (the double-sided superweight interfacing) and
I had the book, and I certainly had the fabric,but not until I saw Linda
Johansen on Simply Quilts did I put all the pieces of information
together -- and voila, two wonderful bowls!
Now I need to buy more interfacing. I...

OT - Heart Attack news by
Queen of Squishies
Here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the
truth after all the conflicting medical studies:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks
than Americans.
2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer ...
OT Pix of new grand daughter by
AliceW
Ok, before you see the pictures of the prettiest little girl in the world, I
have to explain about her middle name. When we had discussed names with my
DIL, Ava Michelle was high up on the short list of names. So, when she was
born and my son and DIL told me they named her Ava, I assumed (silly...
A little bit of bragging by
Joanne Passmore
I am really happy to report that the queen size quilt I made as a fundraiser
for our local Counselling Centre, raised $2220. I am on their Board of
Directors and thought this was a way I could make a contribution. Sure feels
good!
Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.
The HairyButt Gang's obedience instructor, Susan, is having a hot dog
cook-out for the final dog class of the year on Halloween evening.
There are only 2 or 3 adults in the class (I'm one of them) and about
8-10 4H kids from about ages 7 to 12. I need to make some healthy-type
goodies for a relish...
Last day of show/What a hit! by
Tina
It's really sad, yep it is. To walk around for a bit today, sick and
miserable and wishing it didn't all have to end.
But it ended on a good note for me.
I had promised my kiddos, after their patience with mom being out of
touch for a week and a half, that they would get to go at least one...
christmas stocking patterns? by
Morag in Oxford
Hi all,
I want to make Christmas stocking for my 2 children this year - can anyone
direct me to some nice, easy and free patterns on the web? I'm thinking
it'll be a great way to use up some of my stash and make something more
individual than you'd get in the shops.
Crayon blocks good for Senoirs by
Susan Laity Price
The children's swap is a great idea. Wish I had some children
(grandchildren!) in the right age. I do want to add that the same
coloring technique is great for working with Senior Citizens with
limited abilities. I back the muslin with ConTact paper (better than
freezer paper because it doesn't...
EQ5 by
Tamara
I am thinking of asking for EA5 for the holidays. I am interested in it
for designing quilt patterns. I want to be able to print them and teach
them. Is that a good program for that purpose?? Thanks in advance for
any advice.
