new quilt photo by
DrQuilter[_2_]
I just posted a pic of the last quilts I completed. I am trying to make
one for each of my family members. The bright one called Ciao Luca! is
for my brand new nephew which I got to name (Luca was my name for Sofi
if she had been a boy, although it goes a lot better with Vignali than
with...

wow, great reduction! by
Anne Rogers[_3_]
I just discovered that a card DH and I have gets me a 15% discount of
1/2 yard plus cuts of fabric at a LQS. There doesn't seem to be a time
limit or a volume limit! Glad I discovered the one!

Hummingbird quilt update by
Sandy
I wrote to Joan Shay this morning about the problem I had after washing
my Hummingbird quilt, and she answered me almost immediately! Here's
what she said:
"You are correct. The quilts can be washed.
I do not know what to tell you as I have washed them in the past without
a problem.
I have not...

Cosy Cotton batting by
[email protected]
I was wondering whether anyone had any experience using Cosy Cotton
batting?
How does it compare to Warm & Natural?
I haven't been able to find any information on the internet, and I'm
curious about it.
I bought a piece, and it's very soft and cuddly.

A thrift store treasure by
Pat in Virginia
Here is a report about a quilt found in a charity
thrift store. It was signed by President of the USA,
Rutherford Hayes, and other renown Americans of the
era. Why can't I ever find these things? LOL
Check it out at HGTV....

Pima Cotton by
KJ
Pima cotton is a type of cotton grown primarily in the United State's
Southwest. It is considered to be one of the superior blends of cotton, and
is extremely durable and absorbent. Pima cotton is named after the Pima

Postcards by

It's been a while! Anyone interested in a swap? Halloween is
approaching and we could do a swap if anyone is interested. Plenty of
time to get one done. Or if anyone else has an idea pitch it and see if
it flies. We had quite a few pc makers last year. Hope we can generate
some...

My first attempt at printing on fabric by
Boca Jan
It didn't come out too bad. I just have to find out how to adjust the
settings to get a more colorful picture within the picture program.

OT - The things mums do (homework et al) by
Sharon Harper
After silently congratulating myself for being ultra organised for DD2s end
of term show and tell/homework (dress up as a fairytale character) today I
went into a hive of frenetic and panicked activity.
The Sleeping Beauty dress that was supposed to be in DD2s wardrobe had (I
forgot) been...

Aaaarrrrgh! by
Maureen Wozniak
I just spent the entire 3-day weekend pin basting a batik quilt. My fingers
at the moment look like raw meat. I had to go buy more pins twice---
finished up that pinning just a few minutes ago. Took the sandwhich off the
table and, despite all the smoothing and clamping I did as I went along,...
