Framing cross stitch pieces by Louann Jones
How do you feel about using glass when framing finished counted cross stitch work, does it harm the piece or is it a good thing as far as keeping it dust-free. I am new to the newsgroup thing, so I didn't know just how to go about asking for advice...................LouAnn

Happy dance by Pat Lerch
I finished Eileen Bennett's "Crown of Thorns" sampler. This was a class I took at CATS Hershey last year. It was a series of small and a few large squares that you satin stitched and then each was filled with a different pulled stitch. I wanted to learn some different pulled stitches and boy...

howdy by Caryn
I've seen caddies that you can hang on the back of a wheel chair or possibly on the arm, but haven't been able to find a pattern for one. Anyone here know where I can find one? Heather, I don't know where a pattern for this is off-hand. A great source for free knitting and crochet patterns...

Dianne's Suggestion by Karen C - California
Y'know, Dianne, I think there's something to your "occasional outburst" idea. We'll elect someone relatively calm (Dawne?) as arbiter. When someone says something rude, they'll be advised privately that they are on probation. When they say a second rude thing in one month, a public chastisement...

SRE hints/tricks?? by Addie
I am about to start some silk ribbon embroidery on a cross-stitch piece and I was wondering if there were any tips or tricks to make it go smoothly. I will be doing spider web roses, lazy daisy stitches, straight stiches and ribbon stitches. I have never done SRE before so I would appreciate...

retired floss by Mitch
I jusr downloaded the shopping list for floss from the dmc website and as I was checking my stash I found that I had several numbers of floss that were not listed. is this a result of too many hours spent late at night winding bobbins or did DMC actually stop producing certain numbers of floss?

Waiting for Silks! by Suzanne
I finally did it, I just couldn't help myself. Even though I haven't finished with the chart for my sampler, I went ahead and ordered some Eterna silks. Since I'm still not sure just what color to use for the border, I ordered about 5 different colors, though after reading responses from the...

Before or After by anne
Being the frugal person and amateur stitcher that I am, I frame many of my 'masterpieces' myself and frequently use backing board that has adhesive because I can stretch as I go. I'm wondering if I should attach the do dads that'll sit on top of the floss on Matilda before or after I mount the...
