BOM double windmill question by
Trixie
I just finished two of the April BOM blocks. The starflower block finished
out at 12.5", which is normal for a block that will end up 12" once pieced
in a quilt. The paper pieced double windmill block finished out at only 12"
though, which would be 11.5" once pieced in a quilt. I checked the gauge...

April PP BOM by
Julia in MN
The double pinwheel pattern is really easy to strip piece, though the
proportions might not be quite the same. I have done a bed quilt, a wall
hanging, and a couple table runners using the directions in the Quilt In
a Day "Double Pinwheel"...

Try rubbin some bar soap on the shower door runner. That should make it
slide easier. Bless your heart!! What a morning you had.

Just saw a poll choice of news items to vote on for later viewing. If
you go to http://www.CBS.news.com you can vote (only once) for an
article about a quilter making patriotic quilts. It is an Interactive
Series- Assignment America idea by Steve Hartman. Let's see if we can
get lots of votes....

Musicmaker left me a message while I was teaching piano lessons this
morning. Mark, her son who just learned he was going to be a daddy, was
admitted to the hospital last night, couldn't breathe good. It's been a
long time, but it looks like the CF again. And also, Jenn is home from work
today...

As some of you may remember, I do the block-of-the-month (called Block

to be collected, divided up in sets and handed out.
