Site for handmade stuff by
DAB
My sister told me about this site for selling handmade stuff and I checked
it out for curiosity and noticed they sell yarn too, so this maybe another
source for those that need one more skein. However if this is old news
sorry for a repeat.
I don't want to sell stuff as I knit for gifts and...

London (UK) yarn shop review - Stash by
nickieknits
I went to Stash yarns in Putney yesterday - lovely shop full of
imported yarns, nearly all natural fibres. http://www.stashyarns.co.uk/
Very helpful staff. When I arrived there was a knitting lesson going
on and the five or six chairs in the shop were occupied by that.
There was just about room...

Needle stash??? by
Georgia
Today I sprung (sprang?) for a circular needle organizer; I had hinted I'd
like one for Christmas, but as usual, the hintee didn't take me up on it.
Anyway, now my collection is neatly organized and hanging on the studio
door. I have acquired circulars over the years in every size from 1 to...

Knitting Help by
artsyweb
Hello,
I am a very new knitter, and I have run across the following
direction:
P2tog without slipping sts off needle, then K2tog over same sts.
I understand the P2tog and K2tog seperately, but I can't seem to do
the two together. Can anyone help?
Thanks!

Good morning Monday ,,,moebious shawls or any other item by
Mirjam Bruck-Cohen
I am delighted people enjoy making the moebiouses , and would like all
to remember that it was Elizabeth Zimmermann who first converted this
idea into knitting, But she used the idea of making a straight shawl
and than sew it with an unvisible seam. it was my humble idea to
crochet it from the...

wonderful Fat Tuesday. If Olwyn Mary is around, I hope all is well in

My 2006 NYCO by
BonnieBlue
Please excuse if this is posted twice. I tried to post it once and don't
know where it went.
I entered my 2006 NYCO project (knitted sweater with a crocheted yoke) in a
knitting category of the
Creative Arts Division of the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo and read in the
newspaper that I have...

Just checking in! by
YarnWright
I know how *some* tend to worry when we regulars don't post much, so
thought I'd check-in.
I've been really busy, working on a lot of personal issues PLUS working
on some knitting designs that I want to use for the FAIR.
(Side-note: the DeKalb County Fair is known as the "granddaddy fair"
as it's...

How do you repair crochet? by
Laura J
My daughter's longies have developed a huge hole in the crotch. It isn't a
stretch-hole it is like the yarn actually broke (please please please don't
tell me I have moths!). With knit items I would know how to pick up stitches
or graft the hole together but I am clueless when it comes to...

Changing size by changing guage by
Madelaine
I have a vintage pattern for a fairly simple sweater from a 1970s Mon
Tricot. The largest size is a 14 and I wear a 16-18, although I will
double check the measurements. I'm wondering if I can enlarge the
sweater slightly just by changing the guage, and knitting the rib as a
test. The sweater is...
