insuring a quilt by

I'm mailing a quilt soon and, due to bad experiences, want to insure it.
How does one come up with a value that the post office will respect if
it loses the quilt? (I'm in the US.)

Anyone have idea on how to make a quilt extra thick? I'm making a quilt for
my husband and he wants it extra thick and fluffy. He remembers quilts his
mother (RIP) used to make where they would get cotton practically from the
cotton fields and make quilts.

She in PA
I don't remember who was starting a group that she was going to partner us
up with someone else from the group and we would send stuff to each other
every month. It was supposed to be not over $15.00 a month. I haven't heard

Update on that pesky 12.5 block (Happy dance) by

Thank you all for the help... I am happy to say I now have a perfect 12.5
block :) I followed everyones advise, and I cut it to the measuremnts Anne
suggested and voila perfect block :):):) Thanks again, and now I can do the
happy dance...

Drove out to Intercourse, PA and visited Zook's and The Old Country Store.

couple of different machines but does not know which one is better,
she is looking at the little grace 2 but it dosent do king size,also the
