Cutting a cutting mat by
frood
I just used a 40% off coupon to buy a 24x36 cutting mat. However, my work
table is only 20" wide, so I want to cut it down to size. What type of
implement do I need to cut this with? Heavy duty scissors? Craft knife?
Chain saw? And since it's self-healing, is the cut-off bit going to drag
itself...

Another Gift of Quilting Material by
R. E. Wicker
And this time from the Flossy Queen of Plaids in Worcestershire,
England. How very exciting especially because I am mostly English and
my families came to this country the United States back in the sixteen
hundreds. I have always felt a kinship with England. It was
accomplied by a pattern of a...

SNIGDIBBLY
Hearts and Flowers are done and they machine quilted around my 3d sashing
and corner setting blocks. It looks fabulous. Also got my Spring Tulips
back and they did a wonderful job on that as well. Feels so good to count
these as done. I can't say enough good things about Dana Willis'...

to get nervous about not belonging there.
The food was good :)

Mini Happy Dance by
shhdesigns
Finished putting the binding on my miniature Dresden plate quilt tonight
while at the guild meeting.
I started this quilt almost 5 years ago to the day. I cut out the fabric
and took it into the hospital with me to stitch onto the paper pieces when I
had my heel surgery in 2000.
It has slowly...

Quilting Links by
Mary in Washington
I have been wondering about this since I joined the group. The
internet is a wealth of information and products so I was wondering
what others favorite sites were.
I will start it.

OT Speaking of Dental stuff... by
NightMist
I mentioned that Ash was going to the hospital for dental work, and
have had some inquiries so I figued I would post about it.
Since he has such limited language skills and as such would probably
not understand what was going on much less be able to respond to
verbal instructions, the pediatric...

OT Lil Bro update by
NightMist
Lil bro is eating normally, at least soft foods.
The doctors are still fretting over that right lung.
He is grumpy as a bear in a picked over blueberry patch.
The neurologists thought he was going to be paralysed from the chest
down, but he has sensation down to his groin.
No sign of volitional...

Very OT - Freecycle gripe by
Kathy Applebaum
Don't get me wrong. I love Freecycle. It's a fabulous way to get rid of
stuff and know that it's going to a good home, rather than buried in a
landfill. This is an even better idea than sliced bread. :)
But why, oh why, are people such flakes? It gets really old. I list
something, a dozen people...

whole cloth quilting by
Mary
I tried a small piece of whole cloth quilting I got through a
catalogue, and simply adore the technique! It was pre-marked, and the
marks washed out beautifully. However, I was disappointed with the
quality of the fabric, and because of that hesitate to order another
piece. So I would like doing...
