Stringing Material by
Rachel T.
I'm on this "let's try different stringing materials" kick lately. I've seen
waxed linen cord and I'm thinking about trying it. Anybody ever used it? It
seems to be a good diameter for certain things, and I just can't seem to
find a smaller diameter cord (like bug tail or even mouse tail) anywhere....

Small Scale Glassblowing with Nortel Minor Burner? by
Jean-Francois Theoret
I am contemplating the purchase of the Nortel Minor Burner - however, I have
done a glassblowing course (the _real_ glassblowing with furnace and all)
and I know I can do small scale at home with a torch. However, I am not sure
that the Minor will fit the task. Any opinions? I mostly want to work...

OT - Question about wire wrapping.... by
Harry
Does anyone know anything about this site and/or program for wire wrapping?
http://wire-sculpture.com/
I really want to learn, but it is impossible for me to take any classes anywhere and
I was wondering if anyone has this program and if it is good to learn with.
Thank you.

Well, I'm not a virgin any more... by
Lee S. Billings
Had my first item stolen at an event this past weekend. We were at the Medfair
in Norman, OK, and a pair of rainbow earrings disappeared. I didn't sell them
and neither did Russ, and they weren't on the ground under the table -- we
looked multiple times, including going over the whole area with a...

Oh, very funny - bead related by
Marisa Cappetta
Brook picked me up from work and on the way home I noticed a bead store I
haven't been to yet and pointed it out to him. He jerked his head in the
direction of the store and said, "Yeah, it just opened.... they heard you
were in town." Uh huh. Laugh it up chuckle head.

AD: A couple of things up on my site - TINK by
Tinkster
Happy Sunday, all!
It is GLORIOUS here! Warm... breezy... sunny... I actually left the
basement for a while today and went to the Museum for a glass center
meeting. Then Prairieson and I went shopping for a tree. Which we
didn't find.
When I got home, I finally had a second to photograph the...

This is the URL for a photo of a corsage/hairpiece Kerry is developing.
This one is still rough, but I thought I would get some opinions before
investing a lot more time.
The cone next to it is so you can see it in full detail. Kerry...

a strange bead sight by
Beadbimbo
I left some imperfect beads on the counter, where they'll sit until someone
carries them off, or I give them to my daughter and her buds............
Later on, DD left some unused craft sticks on the counter, where they sit
until mom yells to put them away or mom puts them away...........
This...

Sharing my first bracelet! by
Arleen
Well, I finally took the plunge and actually made a piece of jewelry. I love
the way it came out, and as I have said before I LOVE the crystals, so used
a bunch of them! It is a simple design, which suits me fine. I was inspired
by some bracelets in Bead Style magazine, but changed it up to suit...

Agony! by

Check out this utterly PERFECT bead. I was overjoyed to break my
lampwork-buying moratorium on eBay.....Having not bought any for oh so long!

Halfway through the Buy It Now process, I was told it had been bought by
another! Oh, how my heart aches. Oh, how my sobs wrack...

anybody seed bead? by
biig
Does anyone here make and sell items with mainly seed beads? I've
been making things for a craft sale and am curious as to whether this
stuff sells very well. A lot of it is teen stuff mostly daisy chain
designs with variations, but I've done a few necklace and earing sets
with a combination of...

Removing bead release by
Kyla
I have some lampwork beads, they are the "manufactured" type (cheap beads,
LOL ;o) They're very pretty, but they have gobs of release inside. I have
tried to get it out with a needle file, a piece of wire that was wrapped
hangman-style (for more grabbing texture), and with a pointy stylus...

I am in need of a few glass colors and I have a lot I can trade with.

streaky pink, and Lauscha lavender opaque.
To trade, I have lots of things, including opaque Lauscha purple (the one
