Looking for Isoveli yarn by Beth Gray
I am desperately searching for one skein of Novita 7 Veljesta Isoveli (7 Broder Chunky) in moss green (034). I'm almost out of yarn but I still have one sleeve to go! I've contacted the company and they were most sympathetic, but the color was discontined about three years ago and they don't have...

new to group by Beth[_3_]
Just wanted to say hi. I am new at crochet. Hopefully I will one day be new at knitting. That's what I set out to do and then found that the crochet hook suits me better. Knitting is not a natural activity for my hands but I'll get on that sometime. Anyhow, name's Beth. Hello all. :)

Rainbow crocheted baby blanket by Betty
I ran across a pattern on the internet of a baby blanket/afghan that looked like numerous small rainbows stacked on each other. I cannot find that site again. I'd really like to do this blanket. Has anyone seen a pattern like this? betty

Binding off yarn at end by Betty Ott
Hello everyone. I am new to the list, but not all that new to knitting. I have been knitting the long scarves and have not figured out the best method of finishing off the yarn after all stitches are bound off. The tail is what I can't figure out how to hide/wrap up. I have been using a...

Hi, I'm Bev. I've been spinning since about 1989 or so. I know how to knit, sort of, but really don't enjoy it much. I do a lot of crochet and I prefer to use my own yarn. I've spun about everything that's spin-able and most like to spin natural fiber just as it comes from whatever type of...

book suggestion: knitting stitches? by bex
I'm in the market for a book of knitting stitches. I have a book of basics for knitting (how to), very comprehensive. I have the two Harmony Guides (6 and 7) for crochet stitches and was considering purchasing book 2, "450 Knitting Stitches - Volume 2 (Harmony Guides)". I'd be grateful if...

Felting wool/acrylic blend? by bex
How well do you think a 30% wool/70% acrylic yarn would felt? I've never done it before (felting, that is), but I found several interesting yarns at the Jo-Ann fabric store. They are actually Jo-Ann's own brand. One yarn that I want to try to felt is 100% wool and I know it won't be...

trivet/hot pad - what technique is this? by bex
If you direct yourself to http://www.craftyarncouncil.com/projects/july99_crochet_2.html, you will see a pattern and a picture of a trivet or hot pad (or pot holder?). I had seen a booklet about this type of thing in my Annie's Attic catalog (which I threw out) but I can't find anything like it on...

seafoam stitch/seafoam waves stability Q. by bex
I'm trying to design a summer poncho for myself. I bought some Reynolds Cabaret cotton tape for the sole reason that it was really cheap and I liked it, without knowing what I would do with it. I think I've settled on trying to knit a poncho with it. I'm still deciding how to make it and how...

Has anyone here bought knitting needles from an online store? Is so, what was the store and what was your experience with that store? I haven't had much luck winning bids on ebay for needles, so am looking to buy online. Thanks.
