A fantastic day..also for knitting! by Aud
Katherine, I really don't know yet, but I think the socks would have been "tighter" with fixation, yarn, and may be I have to change number of stitches or someting. But that is no problem for us "good old sock knitters", Katherine!;-) We do what we have to do, don't we? LOL!! AUD ;-))

Studio Twelve flower looms? by Slinky
Hi y'all. I scored a "multi-flower" and a "mini-flower" today at the thrift store but couldn't find an instruction sheet so have *no* idea how to "weave" on the things. What's the chance of somebody on the list having instructions or knowing where I can find them? Michelle Who received her box...

Dry Clean Fleece by Rebekah
I just recieved 2 lbs of Merino from Morehouse Farm. One of the suggestion from an article written by Moira Z Wilson entitled Merino and it's Kin reprinted from Precious Fiber Magazine, May 1986, suggests sewing a pound of fleece into a pillowcase and taking to the dry cleaner to clean. Has anyone...

6x6 question by Sue W
Hi, Is it a good idea to finish a knitted square with a round of crochet? It seems like a good way to get the size right to me, if you aim to knit it slightly smaller than 6".What is the general consensus? Thanks, Sue -- Sue in East Anglia, UK

Depressing conversation today - vent (X-post) by Heather and Reggie Fulbright
I just had a depressing conversation with my grandmother today. Unfortunately she has joined the camp of those people in the world who think the public school system is the only thing in existance that can teach my autistic son and that I am going to be doing him more harm than good...

My situation with 6x6 for May by Pirjo Ilvesvuori
Hi ladies! Guess what? My squares for 6x6 are done. Now all I must do is pack them, put the stamps, write the address and drop to the mailbox. Then my part is officially done. I do not know about Katherine, but if she hears me...No rush, Katherine. No rush. *speaks into microphone but is not sure...

help! by Laura J
Hi all, I know you will have lots of good advice. I'm almost done with my shawl and have started binding off the last row. I had about 25 stitches to go when I got to the end of the skein (I'm kicking myself for not starting a new one a couple of rows back but I was too lazy to go roll it into a...

(Hey...it has the word knitting in it. That makes it on-topic! ;-) ) ****************************************** A cop was patrolling at night in a well-known spot for "parking." He sees a couple in a car, with the interior light on. He gets closer to the car and sees a young man behind the...

why do you knit/spin/crochet/ect? by Aud
I am always filled with reflection and a sort of respect(don't know how to express this!) when I see how like we are; how we think the same thoughts and have the same reasons and motives; accross borders, oceans and culture differences! Laurie, what you say, you said for me! I will just add...
