Sullivans floss by
Donna D.
While looking at 1-2-3 stitch they advertise Sullivans floss.I have never
heard of it. Is it better worse or the same as DMC? I also like Anchor. I
don't need a new collection so I doubt I will really look in to it. Just
wanted to know what others thought of it in case I run in to it.

OT-weather by
Lucille
Does anyone have time today to come here and help me build a boat? It's
been raining so hard and so long that I've got puddles in back of my house
big enough to float a battleship.

OFF TOPIC So - who's ready for the holidays by
Cheryl Isaak
I'm still looking for a quiet night to do a family Hanukah meal. While we
light the candles all the nights, we don't do the big family meals the
entire week and there is only one night for presents (usually the first).
And it is the DH's birthday - the same day DD and I get a 90 minute ride,
both...

Anyone heard of Bookswim? by
Donna[_6_]
Hey,
Slightly off-topic: I found an awesome Christmas gift. This site
BookSwim (www.bookswim.com) rents books like Netflix rents movies and
they sell gift memberships.
Sounds like a thoughtful reader- gift, without needing to worry that I
bought someone the same books as last year...

Happy Dance by
Bev72
I finally finished Mirabila's "Cinderella" with hundreds of beads and had no
one to brag to, except you all. It was an exercise in beading as I had
never done much. Next up is an attempt at hardanger. Wish me well.

OT-E Reader by
Lucille
I've been considering buying an e-reader and would love to know if anyone
has one and can give me a heads up on which might be better.
I've been reading reviews and they all seem very similar. I'm only
interested in downloading books and reading them. Don't need a lot of
storage because the...

Not OT - Ace of Cakes by
MargW
Did anyone else see the Ace of Cakes episode with the cross stitched
Christmas stocking cake? It as being done for a woman who had crossed
stitched (IIRC) something like 20 stockings. They made a replica of a
Shepherd's Bush stocking - all the design was done in tiny piped x's -
just like the...

Stitched Gifts by
Maureen Miller
Hello everyone,
How many of you are giving stitched gifts for Christmas this year? I'm
giving four petit point pictures, knitted socks, hat with ear flaps,
scarf & 4 pair gloves. I like to think the hand crafted gifts are more
appreciated than the store bought plastic imported goods. In fact...

I don't remember if I posted this before but I have uploaded some

OT Perfect comfort food?? by
Dawne Peterson
It is suddenly very cold here, and blowy. A person needs comfort food. So
I made one of mine--bread pudding. I just fished it out of the oven, and it
is golden and puffy. Warm table cream, beaten eggs, maple syrup, pinch of
salt, pour it all over the bread and bake. So simple really--although...
