I usually just lurk here but would like some info from some of you out there. My DH & I are going to New Zealand for 3 weeks in May. We will be driving all around both islands, hitting all the major cities and smallers ones as well. What I'd like to know is if there are any must-see needlework...

Short Eared Owl chart? by Liz from Humbug[_2_]
Enough is enough! After making a few attempts to chart the photos I found of Hawaiian Short Eared Owls, I found a Pegasus/Stephanie Hedgepath "Great Gray Owl" that I'll use, switching out the grays/black for tans/browns and adjusting as necessary. I also found some beautiful Ice Blue 32 cnt Lugana...

Ignoring that other post by Cheryl Isaak
I am quite amused by the number of "needlework" apps I found in the iTunes store. Most are knitting related. Stitch counters, needle size converters and project diaries. A bunch of quilting apps - though I wondered if the fabric stash ones would work for other stash. And jewelry one that...

apologies... by Jere Williams
My apologies to anyone who has written me in the last couple of weeks. I've been terribly erratic with replies because of an underlying crisis in my life.... I had a small growth removed from my foot a couple of weeks ago -- no big deal, right, except for the general discomfort and the...

Chatelaine pattern material substitution? by fran
I purchased the pattern and materials for Chatelaine's Egyptian Gardens Mandala (beware - the threads and beads are very, very expensive), and thought - why don't I see how they show against some evenly woven silk material I have? SO - I tried them out on a pale tan material. They, of course,...

Suggestions for spice jars by Rachel Janzen
I just emptied two spice jars today and was wondering if anyone had any inspired crafty ideas for them. Either for storage usage or decorative. It seems like a waste to throw them out and at the rate I go through oregano and basil around here, I have empty bottles frequently. Rachel

Do-lolly by sharoncapps
Does anybody remember the do-lolly (sp.)? It was a tool to help tie in your thread if it got to short. It was very pretty and I believe the person that created the tool passed away. I broke mine and would like to find a similar tool. Sharon in MN
