Anybody else get the Knitting Daily newsletter? by
Melinda Meahan - take out TRASH to reply
Here I was, just having admired that Hanami shawl and complimenting the
knitter, stating that I wished I could knit so well, because I can't
even knit 10 rows of plain stockinette stitch without a mistake if it
has increases and/or decreases, and then comes Sandi Wiseheart of KD
trying to make...

Things we do in public by
Wooly
Threads back through Aaron to a comment Mirjam made which is:
Almost like Breast feeding in public, Used to be done only by
"Primitive women" than became Done by all who felt like doing it.
Nobody now in Westen world would say a woman breast feeding is
Primitive .....
My response is: You'd be...

Spinning wool... by
Hill Top Woolies
Hi! I am relatively new to the spinning world with just a year and a
half on a drop spindle and not quite a year in front of a wheel. The
area I live in is spinner-poor, so I am constantly trying to conect
with people who have the same intrests as I do.
I have found that wool isnt a hobby, its a...

Innocent looking cat! by
Purplenova
I was sat here merrily knitting the first few rows of a new project, my cat
playing sort of with the ball of wool then came and sat by me on the sofa.
Wasn't until row 3 I realised the wool had been bitten through and I had
just a dangly end left lol
Having not done a lot of knitting with a cat...

DPN problem by
Leah
Has anyone here had problems with dull points on one of your wooden
DPNs? I just picked up some size 1-1/2 (2.5 mm) Crystal Palace bamboo
needles to make my Magico socks, and I'm noting a problem with the
same needle every time I use it on the socks I'm knitting. On close
examination, the one...

The YarnWright
I know that some wools full/felt better than others..... besides Cascade,
which brands are 'quick' and non-hairy felters?
Gawd, that looks like a very badly worded query!

Well, Matthew did manage to take the day off yesterday afterall so he could

OT Recipe Definitions by
Kira Dirlik
Well, with our recent food conversations, this seems like a great time
to educate myself.
A while back our local Michaels had a big table of large recipe books
with gorgeous photos and really cheap! The one that appealed, that I
bought (" Vegetarian: Over 180 Tempting Recipes" for $5. ...

A wonderful class! by

X-No-Archive: yes
I've had three wonderful busy Saturdays taking a beginners weaving class
with a superb teacher. There were five of us, four with absolutely no
experience and one with a teeny bit. It's been so much fun.
Technically we are all making the same thing - a 2/2 twill with the same
warp...
