Sunday Morning by Shillelagh
Good morning all..... It's already almost 9:00 a.m. and nobody else has started the Sunday thread (smile). I usually sleep in on Sunday but my granddaughter is visiting, so here I am - no sleeping in! Still in my nightgown, no coffee yet, bleary eyes. It's a beautiful sunny day, and once DH...

Friday Excitement! Also, stores closing in Canada by Eastern Edge
There has been some excitement here on Friday. I've been stocking up two big suitcases with crocheted items to sell, and have sold a few things, and have gotten great reviews (wow!) from people I've given things to free of charge or as gifts. And as of yesterday, my things are being carried at a...

OT - Gwen's pie crust recipe by David Sky
Gwen, I have never before tried baking dessert items and have a few questions. You wrote: Place a quantity between two sheets of glad bake, roll out , turn the dough into the dish by just turning the paper over and cook at about 200c for around 1 to 15 minutes. David: I don't understand...

problem with charts in "A Gathering of Lace" by Teacher Gal
Anyone able to chime in and tell me the answer to a rather simple question? I think I've got a handle on the difficult part of this project (grafting the edging to the shawl as it's worked), but here's the kicker: I can't figure out if I need to reverse the symbols on the edging's wrong side...

basket making materials by meuharris
Can anyone tell me the requirements for a suitable basket making material? I understand willow is very common but can I use the twigs from other trees as well? What about holly? Dog wood? Is pussy willow also acceptable?

I'm kind of sad because last year, I saw the greatest lopi sweater pattern/kit being sold on ebay by a woman in Iceland (I believe she had a store as well), and I can't find her anymore! I've looked on Google, and I've been searching Ebay, but no luck. :( Any of you frequent Ebayers: Do you...
