OT - The Great Sprouts Debate - Redux by ellice
Hey gang - so 2 brussels sprouts comments. First - our crazy springer spaniel, Puckster, evidently loves them. As he enjoyed several last night while DH & I were eating dinner. And fortunately, I haven't noticed any bizarre or horrid odor effects. 2nd - I did my little comparison test - and did...

Sampler Symposium in Maryland by Susan Hartman
A neighbor just alerted me to an upcoming exhibit of Maryland schoolgirl samplers at the MD Historic Society in Baltimore, and there's a symposium in April. Check http://www.mdhs.org/sampler.html Looks interesting, but a little too expensive for me just now! I'll have to be satisfied with just...

Woodlawn Outing - DC Area by ellice
Hi all, It looks like some of us locals are finally converged on a date to have an outing to Woodlawn. Donna, Ericka, maybe Sue W (depending on her jury duty) and I will be going to the Needlework Exhibition on Tuesday, 3/20. Joiners welcome - of course. There are directions to Woodlawn on...

seeking parrot chart by val189
Bought a kit on ebay - probably not the sellers fault, but sealed package arrived with stamped canvas, fibers, but NO chart. Mfr - IMC Needlecraft - got disconnect report when I called. I think the kit is an oldie, even the stamped portion is rather faded - maybe it sat in a window for...

Looking for chart of Jesus at Gethsemane by Meli
10 years ago, I completed a chart of Jesus kneeling at the rock at Gethsemane. This was my first "big" project, was very intricately detailed, and took me 18 months to finish it (was working on my baby's birth sampler at the same time). I was so proud of it, I'm quite sure everyone got tired of...

OT - don't do it!!! by anne
For those of you who use PCs, not MACS, do not, I repeat do not, upgrade to Windows Vista or buy a new machine with Vista installed unless you are willing to spend more money to buy new programs that allegedly run on Vista or to spend hours and hours figuring out how to make old programs and...

Rockome 2007 by [email protected]
Yes, Rockome is back this year. Showbooks have gone out, but you can also access all the information, including class registration and stitching entry forms on our website. The new owners of the gardens apparently aren't "clear" on the idea of how important stitchers are to their bottom line so...

LNS Classes by Magic Mood Jeep
In addition to returning to the world of 'higher' education (college), I am still taking some classes at my LNS. They have started an UFO group, that meets every 3rd Thursday of the month (no charge for this one) and I am also signed up to A "Beyond Cross Stitch" class. This is a series of 10...

Supplies for Love Tree & Grace Tree by Valerie[_2_]
I was wondering if anyone who has these designs by M Designs could post the supply list for these 2 (beads, charms, recommended fabrics and floss)? I will be making a rare visit to my LNS (45+ miles one way!) this weekend. They have already ordered the 2 charts for me, but they may have to ship...

Wish me luck. I undergo Carpal Tunnel Surgery today on my stitching hand. I broke the arm in October and it never healed straight. So off to have the carpal tunnel thing done. I hope it relieves the numbness in my fingers. Clarice in AZ
