I need little faces in Hus. by
Valkyrie
I am sewing little bears, a two piece pattern about 8-9 inches high, the
area for the face would be about 1 1/2 inches square. I am looking for bear
type faces to embroider on these little creatures. These little bears are
for the Women/Children shelter and for our police to carry in their cars...

But now I'm just stumbling around in the Google of my twilight

the comfort of your written voices. Ay, verily, I say unto you, I have
come forth from the Web wilderness, seeking to hold my own in the brave
new world of aol. Are...

I think I am nuts . . . by
Sami
I just went through my stash, which is very little really, and am
rather amused by all the mish-mash that is in it. I have silk and
lovely cottons, and some fabric I bought and never used for a quilt.
Now looking at it - some of it years after buying it - and I realize I
am very much the magpie...

I want to learn to make my own clothes (in Seattle) by
Jacqueline Passey
Hi! I am completely frustrated by my inability to find clothes in the
color, style, fit, and durability that I want in the store, and have
decided to learn to make my own. Fortunately my favorite clothes that
I want to copy are all very simple -- 1 to 3 pieces of fabric, mostly
knits, with few or...

I'll bet you've not heard this sewing machine problem before by
Micki
I bought a used Babylock sewing machine (not a serger) at a yard sale for $40. The yard sale was at a storage unit that had been abandoned and the property owner was selling off the contents. It looked okay, the owner let me plug it in and use it long enough to determine that it was working. I took...

I'm so proud... by
Siptah
I figured out how to use the blind hem stitch on my machine! Got 3 of the 4
hems needed for my girls dresses done. (2 on each dress, one for the skirt
and one for the lining). SOOOOOO much quicker than hand stitching the hem!

ideas for slip straps? by
[email protected]
I'm making my girls slips in a gorgeous slinky stretchy beige fabric-
and am pondering the straps. I want something smooth and comfortable-
and don't really feel like running out and buying something at the
moment either. :-P I was wondering about using Clear Elastic but
think it would be too...

Ikea Fabric? by
BEI Design
Does anyone in the US live close to an IKEA which sells fabric? My DD
wants a few yards of:
http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10101&storeId=12&langId=-1&productId=10897
but the IKEA in Seattle (closest to us) doesn't have a fabric
department.
I would be happy...
