Oh how I miss you all!!! by
~KK in BC~
Life has just gotten to be so overwhelming for me and I dearly miss you all
and your inspiration. I miss my sewing room even more..... it has now taken
on a new life as a dump :-( , the room where the "I don't know where to put
it's" go to live out the rest of their lives.
We have had nothing but...

OT Big Bird emergencies by
Polly Esther[_2_]
I had to go find my Julia Child book on the Way to Cook. We hadn't been
able to find a turkey the right size until yesterday and it is frozen harder
than . . . well, you know.
And so - if you just must thaw a turkey quickly, Miss Julia says to
submerge the well-wrapped bird in a sink full...

Brother Innovis QC by
Anne Rogers[_3_]
Hope I got the name right, anyway, it's the Brother, designed for
quilters machine, I went into the local shop that I've been very happy
with in terms of supporting my non American machine (they don't even
sell Janomes, but they could still get me replacement bulbs for 240V).
The two machines...

Go for the gold, thread that is by
Taria
I have been working on some holiday shirt appliqué.
I don't remember buying it but I had some Sulky Metallic
in gold. It sewed up like a dream. I hadn't bothered
to change my needle and this thread still didn't cause
a fit. If you need any touches of gold in your work give
this stuff a try. My...

OT Mac PC by

Ok I hope I'm not making you all nuts with my indecision. I'm looking at
new laptops....my first laptop actually. Best Buy has iMacs....and they
looked very tempting. I have to get Windows put on for a couple of the
programs I use. No way around that. Do I need "Parallels"? They come with...

states embroidery designs by
Dorothy McNutt
My computer crashed and I lost some of my designs
that I didn't have backup on. Does anyone know the
embroidery site that has the free state outlines that have
something in the middle of the state on it? I had all of
them done except about 10 states. Right know I am
broken hearted over it....

ACCORDING TO YAHOO'S ARCHIVES FROM THE YEAR 1999 by
Missy
Look what this guy wrote in the year 1999, about our present day wars
with Iraq, about the World Trade Center bombings, and about what our
every day life would soon be like in America. All of it obviously
describing these and a zillion other things, years before they ever
took place. As...

Ragmop/SAndy would be horrified--I was by
monique
My LQS just moved into bigger digs, and it's a pretty good store for the
size of the town. I certainly found a lot of pretty fabric. BUT when I
asked where the hand quilting thread was, they looked at me like I had
two heads and pointed to a display of big cones in about 12 colors. No...

What color sashing do you think would be best? (Given, of course,
that I can find the 'right' fabric in that color/colors.)
These blocks were an experiment. We've got a book in the store
(forgive me, I've forgotten its name) that uses a...
