Necklace length question by
[email protected]
Hi group,
I have started making some beaded necklaces. I was inspired by one that
I bought from a friend and decided to put my big pile of seed beads to
use. The necklace I bought and the ones I made are about 18" in length
- would you say that this is a good length for an average necklace?...

Question about bead types by
The Goddess of Truth
Hello all
I'm really enjoying this group, and I've learned a great deal in my time
lurking here. I'm de-lurking to ask a question about identifying types of
beads.
I understand the rather obvious distinctions between lampwork glass, polymer
clay and other beading media, but I'm not sure of the...

OT I am a stunned gun owner by
Christina Peterson
I hadn't been listening to the radio, so I just happened upon the story of
Cheney's "shooting accident". I think most gun owners are even more stunned
than the rest of the population.
As one rural poster said:
"What got to me though, in the story I just read, was where one bigshot
there said in...

OT Defrost by
Christina Peterson
January was brr~~~ COLD ~~br~~~br~~~!!!
For three weeks it was colder than -35F at night; with 10 days of that being
45 to 55 below, or colder. "Warming up" to around 30 below in the day time.
Our water pipes froze twice, as did our sewer pipe. The air in the tires
compressed with cold,...

Show and Tell by

We just discovered a neighbor who does lampwork. The fish focal is one of
hers. The assymetrical necklace is the creation of the fringe queen, my DW

Hope you like it.

To make all of you who live in warm climates, here's a snow report from
New Jersey, USA.
We have 18 inches of snow, more is falling. Good part - no work for me
today and I still get paid!!! I'd love it if those of you who live on
the now snowy parts of the country would check in with...

Newsgroup service by
Christina Peterson
Haven't figured out what to do about newsgroup participation. It's gotten
really bad and my server tech staff says they can't help; the service just
doesn't have a good newsgroup service. Suggested I use Google. Which I
hate.
I'm guessing that about 60% of my posts make it to the group (judging...
