Stitching Jubilee by
Marianne T.
Is there ANYONE on this group going to the Stitching Jubilee in Lancaster,
PA in October?
Registration started last Tuesday, anyone taking classes?
In the old days, there was lots of talk on this board about folks going to
Spirit of Cross Stitch, Heart of Cross Stitch, and CATS. Seems there...

I don't know how many of you have heard of this yet but I just received an
invitation to join a yahoo group for this. It is a new stitching festival
being put together by Marilyn of Stoney Creek and it is going to be the
first weekend in October in King of Prussia PA near Valley Forge. They do...

Anyone here planning on attending the Stitching Jubilee in October?
Anyone nervous that registration is supposed to be June 2nd and that
the classes are not yet posted?
I've been trying to find out from the Jubilee when the classes are

Stitching larger pieces by
Alison in OH
Hi, all!
Well, I'm having a marvelous time with my first cross stitch piece,
which makes me think ahead to future stitching joy! :) Tempest in a
Teacup is about 5" x 5", so I'm stitching on the 8" x 8" fabric in hand.
This is working out great for me, as I enjoy the feel of the fabric...

Stitching lessons - day 3 by
Cheryl Isaak
Well, today we started with talking about laying out a pattern for their
bookmarks - using a real, from the library, paper bookmark. Most were
"freaked" by the idea of a stitch area of 15 stitches x 45 stitches. Until
some one cut out ( I didn't tell them to, but...) a piece of plastic canvas
to 15...

Stitching muliple pages of Pinn-Eight Immortals by
Liz Catron
Hello All,
Stitching muliple pages of Pinn-Eight Immortals
I could use some help with stitching muliple pages. This pattern has
four pages
across and five pages down. What would be the best and easiest way to
stagger the stitches so I donot get a line showing the the page
changes in my work?
So...

Stitching News by
Suzanne
Hello, everyone, know it's been a while since I posted and I know
you've all missed me terribly right? LOL I've just been too
preoccupied with other things to keep up with RCTN, though I've finally
skimmed through all the posts for the past few months. Haven't been
doing much needlework myself,...

Stitching on 28 Count by
Suzanne
When you're using a 28 count evenweave fabric, do you always stitch
over 2 threads? This may seem like a dumb question, but I'm really not
sure. All of my stitching before has been with kits or whatever that
tells just what size fabric to use and how many threads to stitch. It
just seems like a...

Stitching on a 'Sandwich' by
anne
A woman whose talent and skill I admire almost always does her free style
embroidery on a sandwich -- ground, thin batting, thin fabric backing. I
thought I'd try that but I'm having a big problem -- I have to really, really,
really work to get the needle through all the layers. I'm using no...

Stitching on a slip by
anne
My mailbox was calling to me today ... "open me," it said. Inside was Classic
Stitches that was begging to be free ;-) It had an awesome stumpwork on the
cover. I doubt if I'll eventually do the sun goddess on painted canvas but the
face is saying 'do me!!! do me now!!!'
In a nutshell, running...

Stitching on a train? by
Maggie
Hi everybody! This is a little different than recent posts, so I
thought I would start a new subject.
In a month, I will be going on my honeymoon to Niagara Falls via
train. (I know, I will freeze my butt off :) ) The train trip is
about 7 hours each way, so you can bet I am bringing stitching. ...

Stitching on clothing by
Mira
Hello everyone,
I like to finish my stitching other than putting them in frames and
stitching in clothing comes to mind. I already bought the t-shirt and waste
canvas, my questions for all stitchers concerned who done this befodid
you attach an interfacing at the wrong side of the fabric so it...

stitching on cruise by

I recently sailed on the QE2 for the first leg of the world cruise, and
took a smallish (45") piece of whole cloth quilting with me. During
the 2 weeks on board (New York to LA), I would take it with me to work
on in the late afternoon outside the Grand Lounge, listening to
rehearsals for the...

Stitching on knits by
Jacqueline
I have a medium-weight linen shirt that contains just enough spandex to make
it slightly stretchy. I want to do some surface embroidery on it, and I'm
looking for recommendations for stabilizing the fabric. I'm thinking of
basting (not ironing) onto the wrong side a piece of interfacing,...

stitching on paper by
Jere Williams
I don't know that this is exactly the same sort of stitching as has been
described previously, but there is a website: www.tokensandtrifles.com that
has perforated paper for stitching on for sale. It has very pretty borders,
many of which can also be stitched. There was an ad for them, plus a...

Stitching Organizations by

Here in Portland we have a woman's shelter who could probably use such
things to help the women and children who come to them for help. I have
done work with them in the past, and they are a great place-really dedicated
to helping women and children who have been abused turn their lives...
