Wal-Mart by
Yarn Forward
Well I had a shock yesterday. Went into Wal-Mart to check out their
yarn prices and they were selling the Bernat Boa at ABOVE the
manufacturer's recommended price. We sell it for $4.49 (Canadian) in
Canada, and they were selling it for $4.79 So much for their claim of
"Always low prices -...

There has been some excitement here on Friday.
I've been stocking up two big suitcases with crocheted items to sell,
and have sold a few things, and have gotten great reviews (wow!) from
people I've given things to free of charge or as gifts. And as of
yesterday, my things are being carried at a...

New Year's Resolution (a little late) by
Amanda Tikkanen
NO NEW PROJECTS UNTIL THE OLD ONES ARE DONE!
That's it. New rule. I have about 10 UFOs and a couple more "need to
do soon" projects. Just have to sit and whiddle them down, one by one.
A couple are a little more portable than others, so should go quickly.
No rule against buying yarn and...

Cable Crochet - ANY advice, sites etc.? by
spampot
I have done some searching for my sister whose Aran crochet book failed
her, but haven't found much -- one pattern that looked really good
turned out to be available only as a kit. Does anyone out there do
cables in crochet?

OT - It's Sunday! - Weather Report from Southwestern Ontario by
MRH
It started snowing (very fine stuff) on and off yesterday. I don't know if
it continued on throughout the night... or if it started up again early this
morning... but when I got up and looked out the kitchen window on the way to
the bathroom, I could see that it had been accumulating. It looked...

Hi everyone,

helped me commented on my fingerless mittens! I used scrap yarn to
make these up really quickly, just to have something to do and keep my
hands...

Fulling/felting quick question by
The YarnWright
I know that some wools full/felt better than others..... besides Cascade,
which brands are 'quick' and non-hairy felters?
Gawd, that looks like a very badly worded query!
