Cutting a demi john by
Anth
Hi
I have a glass Demi-John, I need to cut the bottom off to make a bell jar
piece of equipment for experiments.
Some techniques scour the glass and then use a heated wire to shatter
across the score.
I have seen other methods such as filling the bottle with oil and inserting
a hot piece of metal,...

GOOGLE TO BE SUED by 2 Australians by
William_of_Clairmont
In a word, no. How can Google be held responsible for newsgroup
content? It's like asking CalTrans (substitute whoever is responsible
for road maintenance in your local) to be responsible for graffiti
visible from freeways. Any lawyer who takes this case is on a "fool's
errand."
Oh, and I am...

Decal printing - Solid instead of opaque by
krobie
When I've attempted to print on clear decal material to use on glass (I
use Avery brand), I do not get decals as shown on the package. Those
decals show solid colors, bright and not at all see-through, placed on
glass. When I print, I get nothing but opaque colors, only clearly
visible if placed on...

What's everyone up to? by
Kalera Stratton
I was wondering what kinds of projects people are currently working on?
I make beads and some fused work, bowls, jewelry pieces and etc. but the
most interesting (ie "challenging") thing I've done lately is making
small magnifying paperweights that consist of a clear core, a design in
a sort of...

Dante Mincin
I have the compressor and blasting cabinet and now looking to buy a pressure
pot.
I will probably be blasting small glass items and wondering how to size the
pressure pot.
The two sizes I'm looking at are 40 lbs and 110lbs.
Thanks
