Shillelagh
Hi gang
Just got back from the city and shopping at my favourite "boutique"....
Value Village.
I found a fabulous navy pure wool London Fog winter coat for $40. Just like
new, and happily - a petite - which means not having to shorten it.(gotta
love that)
I also found 3 wool sweaters which I...

Last night brought me some sweater weather! by
WoolyGooly
A modest Canadian cold front blew in yesterday evening. It brought
rain (in some areas it brought LOTS of rain, like 4" in less than 90
minutes!) and cooler temps. This morning I woke up to 55f/12.7C and a
brisk north wind with intermittent drizzle.
I wore my AS sweater over a long-sleeved...

respin old baby blanket? by
[email protected]
My fiancee has an old baby blanket that is in pieces. It's basically
knotted together and pretty much destroyed. But she sleeps with it
every night (even though she is 25).
Is it possible to break it down, respin the yarn and recreate the
blanket? This might be a completely naive question but it...

Sunday morning blather by
WoolyGooly
It is about 1045 for me (GMT-6 until the time change!) with a nice 57F
on the thermometer and a northerly breeze. The sun is shining,
there's a high pressure system sitting directly on top of me. Temps
this afternoon are forecast for the mid-70s and the Rolling Stones
concert (to which I am not...

Patons "Carmen" by
Linda [email protected]
Good Morning everyone,
I posted a message a few days ago about knitting a cowl/hood from a
fluffy yarn. I was out at Michael's and purchased the yarn I had seen
previously. It is called "Carmen" by Patons. Here is the link:

Variable width yarn scarf pattern? by
Padishar Creel
A friend gave me 380 yards of yarn they had spun from their own sheep.
It is white and is a variable width. It is spun with yarn and roving
mixed together to form fat sections and thin sections. The pattern she
wanted done is too complex and calls for fingering weight yarn anyway.
I am leaning...

Kysmik in The Viking Knit Collections by
JJMolvik
Has anybody made the Kysmik Sweater Vest in The Viking Knit Collections? I
have visited the Errata page, and there are no corrections for this pattern.
(Although several for other patterns in this book)
I am confused by the chart for the runes as the pattern says "Center on 52
stitches" and I...

I won, I won !!! by
Shillelagh
Happy dancing today!
Wendy Johnson, of Wendy Knits blog fame, drew my name in her sock yarn
giveaway today! She was cleaning out her stash room and decided to destash
enough sock yarn for six people to make a pair of socks. Looking forward to
seeing what yarn she sends me. (big grin).
