Shops in London? by
S.Cordelia
I am going to London with my family and would like any recommendations
of good needlepoint stores (I do not cross-stitch much, mostly
needlepoint and no knitting). Also, any fine dress goods and notions
stores too (besides Liberty's). Thanks!

Noah's Sub--any tips? by
Kriesel
I just got the re-released copy of Noah's Sub. I can't wait to get started,
but I have to get my fabric edged (my DSis will do it on her serger hopefully)
and go through my floss to see what I don't need to buy (Don't want to buy all
140+ colors if I don't have to, LOL).
Has anybody done this new...

Can you ID this ndlpt cat design? by
val189
Hi -
I'm back - looking for another cat design. It's a large white persian
and I think there's a lot of emerald green in the background. I would
like to do this for a friend. I saw it once on ebay a while back but
can't locate it now. Anyone know the maker and name of the kit?
thanks,
val

DIY framing class? by
ted
I read on this board that some craft stores might teach diy framing.
Does anyone know which one? I live in Texas if that matters.
Thanks.

OT mayo by
Gillian Murray
Most people don't know that back in 1912, Hellmann's mayonnaise was
manufactured in England.
In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment scheduled for
delivery in Vera Cruz,Mexico,
which was to be the next port of call for the great ship after its stop in
New York.
This would...

Kiss the Cook? by
Karen C - California
Somewhere in my vast collection of charts/books/magazines, I recall seeing
"Kiss the Cook" in block letters with a very simple little chef. The only one
I'm finding right now has more ornate letters, not really appropriate for a
male.
Does this ring a bell with anyone who knows which...

OOP Premier Issue Cross Stitch&Country Crafts on ebay by
Randy and Cara Randall
I am parting with a lot of my Cross Stitch and Country Craft Magazines. I
don't have a complete set, but I have a LOT of them, as well as Cross Quick,
going up for sale on ebay. I don't have time to cross stitch anymore, but I
loved them so much and used to just look through them for pleasure....

The Chamberlain Society by
Lee Smith
Hello,
I am of the understanding that in one of the volumes published of "The
Chamberlain Society", in it are letters written by Letitia Hargrave, the
wife of Chief Factor James Hargrave at York Factory, in the 1850's.
She writes about the needlework Miss Davis taught at her school in the
1850's...

Noah's Sub suggestion by
Lladnit
When I bought the chart recently, my LNS had a suggestion - using overdyes for
the background. Sounds good to me, if I ever get around to actually stitching
it grin - am holding my breath waiting for two patterns from Long Dog
Samplers
(couldn't decide between them and ordered both). Stash...

I Won It, I Won It, I Won It, Gripit! by
Suzanne
I am now the happy owner of a Gripit Plus Deluxe floor stand complete
with a full set (possibly) of scroll bars! This is the third item I've
bid on at eBay and only the first that I've won. Considering the stand
alone costs $130 today, I think I did very well getting it for $61 plus
S&H. :-) ...

3D needlework by
Laury Walkey
I've been adding a number of interesting books to my needlework library,
either from a book club or from local thrift stores and bargain used
book stores. I've been taken with the concept of trying to incorporate
some three dimensional aspects into my needleworking, especially after
reading the...
