Totally OT and a long winded post...."sorry"! by
Brian D
Hi everyone:
What a bad day this has turned out to be...yikes.
As you know DS had mono a few weeks ago, he's recovered rather well.
Now DD1 has been weak and tired for a while so off to the docs we went
today. She's missed the last 2 weeks of school, trying to hit a few classes
here and there...

Discussion topic: war rugs by
Myka KS
Hi all,
There was interesting article in the New York Times today, and wanted to get
your thoughts on it. It was about rugs woven by Afghanis that depict the
Sept. 11th attacks. Apparently their style of weaving is several hundred
years old, (maybe in the thousands?), and is typically used as a...

Repost by
L Weisse
Would someone mind reposting a web address I saw on here a while back? It
was the site that had many small gift items, such as fish shaped coasters
and hotpads. I had the site bookmark, but lost all my web favorites because
of recent computer problems. If anyone can help, that would be...

Source for cheap knitting board/loom for girl scout troop by
MaryJLind
Hi,
I'm looking for a source for a knitting board/loom at an affordable cost to
purchase for a girl scout troop. The girls are too young to knit or crochet on
their own, but I thought they could handle the loom method. I want them to do
a charity project.
Thanks,
Mary

I have tried e-mailing you as a reply to your e-mail. If you haven't received
any from me yet, check to make sure you are don't have a filter on that keeps
you from receiving them. I received your e-mail -- wondered if 50% cotton/50%
acrylic would be ok as I have some in colors that I think you...

Hi Noreen,
You sent me an email, and my fingers were quicker than my mind and I
accidentally did a 'mailwasher' to it. I've since taken you off the no no
list. Would you be a doll and resend it to me? Thanks so much.
Star love,

Hi!
In the Italian cooking group a friend asks how to get rid of stains from
food coloring she used for decorate Christmas biscuits.
She got stains both on hands and on clothes.
I suggested her NOT to use lemon and vinegar on clothes, since she could
make the situation worse.
What would you...

I'm off on holiday to Finland in January.

already got a scarf, and warm coat, but with rumours of the temperature =
going down to -30, I've started to panic that I'm going to freeze.
Anyone have any suggestions of other stuff I...

Hi the

motor was going and did as he instructed us last yr...wait til it breaks
then fix it! We got nearly an entire yr. out of it. So we were happy about
that. As I mentioned to him "Merry...
