Home again. by Olwyn Mary
Turns out I have severe bronchitis, not just a cold. However, as the hospital is so crowded, and I have had all the ultrasounds, x-rays, round the clock breathing treatments etc., plus my new nebulizer arrived today, plus I have a retired husband to help out, the doctor released me with a handful...

If anyone is interested, I have a crocheted pattern for a nativity scene. About 11 pages of instructions, so that is the whole thing. I will email it only, free. If you can not receive attachments in e-mail, I can put it up on a web page so that you can print it out yourself. But please bear with...

OT - Pronunciation of words by MRH
Just curious, since pronunciations of other words are being discussed in another thread... Can someone from England please tell me how you, in your part of the country, pronounce the word ALUMINUM please? My late mother-in-law (from Ashford Kent) used to say A-lu-MIN-ium. She is the only person...

What would you make with Sugar'n Cream? by Laura J
I have 6 balls (720 yds) of Sugar'n Cream cotton yarn. I know it is usually used for dishcloths but that is more dishcloths than I care to make! Any ideas? Has anyone ever made a baby sweater out of it? How does it wear/wash? Thanks! LauraJ

Owl Teacosy pattern in crochet wanted by KiwiDeb
I'm new here, and am here in desperate need of help. Our family had a teacosy that was crocheted in the shape of an owl, he had two big crocheted circles for eyes, and a very textured body. To cut a long and painful story short, the cosy has been badly damaged, my parents are devastated as it was...

Continental Style knitting by L
I KNOW 'continental style' knitting (where the yarn is held in the left hand, as in crochet) is faster than 'American style' (where you hold the yarn in your right hand and 'throw' it over the needle). I've seen the video's. But, oh, the learning! With a niece and a nephew each expecting an...

I've been searching for a company/retailer that makes or sells flesh colored 4 ply worsted yarn, without success. Any help in locating this product would be appreciated, or any suggestions on what brand/color can be substituted for flesh color.
