King size quilt by
James Henry
Well here's the story! As a nubee my dear wife started this quilt for a
magazine and it turned out to be a king size quilt, she then got a Handi
Quilter with the extensions to handle a king size quilt. She finished the
top and I was impressed at the detail it looked excellent.
I made her a 11...

Quilt For Me update - March by
Jalynne
Nothing, nada...can you believe it? I've had no energy to really do much, and don't
see much happening until sometime mid to late April, unless it's hand work. I've
been making jewelry, though...but i guess that doesn't count, since very little of it
was for me. You can take a look anyway. ...

paper-pieced critter by
Joan
Sometimes I wonder why I get in over my head. I knew I didn't want to do
anything large this time around, but small isn't necessarily easier. When
a project makes me wonder how long my eyes will last, squinting,
blinking, tearing, then I think about stopping. But Popser wanted this
one,...

Kitchen update by

The only update that isn't on the page is that the floor is now grouted;
installers for cabinets come Monday, so should be more updates next week.

Seems to be a trend by
KJ
I, too, am cleaning out some of my stash. I'm willing to send it to the
first one who emails me and wants it. I have mostly lights/neutrals in
beiges, tan, taupes, little plaids, etc. This would fill a boot box I
think. I'd be glad to receive the postage if you are so inclined, if
not....please...

OT sort of -arthritic thumbs by
Roberta Zollner
Tell me if this is the beginning of osteoarthritis: thumbs on both sides
seem to dislocate if I try to stretch them beyond a certain point. Worse at
night, a bit better after a hot bath. Or is it something else? I need to
know what to look up on web MD, before struggling with the doctor in...

Advice request: Fusing a cut out piece by
QuiltShopHopper
I have cut out a lovely butterfly that I want to put onto a finished block
for interest. How do I get fusible sticky wonder under-type stuff onto the
back of this little butterfly? Should I also use stabilizer on the back of
the block and then stitch the butterfly down?
I think that I heard...

Photo quilt by
merrystitch
I am trying to make each of my 7 grandchildren pillows for Easter. My
thought is to put his/her photo in the center of a log cabin motif. I have
the digital photos, but have been thinking it would look really great if I
could edit the photos to the sepia tones. I thought sure I had seen...

Great Customer Service! by
AliceW
I was exploring the Fabshop Hop site a few weeks back and discovered that I
was a winner of a gift certificate at the www.cozyquilt.com site. I
emailed them to find out the process to get my GC. I received a very nice
reply from Daniela who said that their online shopping was not yet up...

web pages by
shhdesigns
Hi Everyone
At long last I can tell you that my web page is happening! My nephew sent
me a link tonight and it's looking rather fine. But it's not quite ready
for everyone to see. He's been working on it during his Spring Break.
What I'd like if anyone from RCTQ has a web page, to send me...

Quilt scrapbook? by
Deb in AR
Does anyone keep record of the quilts they make? If so, have you ever done
a scrapbook of the quilts you've made? My mom has talked about doing a
quilting scrapbook, and I was wondering if anyone's ever done one. Granted,
Mom's quilts are usually for special people and not for quilt shows or...

the stippling happy dance.... by
Heidi from Germany
Please join me in my stippling happy dance...
Finally I understood the principle of machine-quilting :-)
With my new SM and the help of 'Machine Quilting made
easy' by Maurine Noble I tried it... and it worked. Well,
the smooth curves of my stippling are often sharp edges
and every now and then...

Half a happy dance :) by
Sandy Foster
I've had a panel hanging around my stash for a couple of years now and
have *finally* managed to put it together into a top! Yay! It's really a
cute panel, put out in a line called Once Upon a Time. It's all fairy
tale stuff, with alligators as the characters. I even have a
coordinating purple...

Back from the Dallas quilt Show by
David & Barbara Schmidt
Wow. There were some wonderful quilts. There seemed to be a trend this
year to use batiks, hand dyed, and Bright LOUD prints. There were some
that hurt my eyes looking at them. There seemed to be less "traditional"
types than last year.
I took some pictures and when I get them developed and my...

That's Another Story by
Butterfly
Most of you know that I am being 'Babysat by SIL'...well someone has to
peel those taters and keep the laundry going ; )
Today we got out my authentic 30's fabric that I had been gifted
with--BEFORE breakfast. Thought we would just lie it on the bed and come
back after we ate. WRONG : ) An hour,...
