Your positive and healing thoughts are needed. by

I taught here for a while. A friend was teaching in one of the feeder
schools today, and a lot of her colleagues know the hurt kids.
Not good. Kids the age of my son.

Your Prefs by
Diana Curtis
When you look though quilt magazines, online quilt sites, and through our
own member's photo albums, what attracts you to a particular quilt? Is it
mostly the type of quilt, be it traditional, modern/art, or new technique?
Do you find yourself drawn to a particular color/fabric combination? ...

Your Quilting Book by
Sunny[_2_]
When you write the ultimate book about quiltmaking, what will be the
title of your book? It should have a name that would be unique to you
and the aspect of quilting that is most appealing to you.
My title: The Pointless Quilter: One imprecise woman and her journey
down the fabric brick road

your thoughts by

OK, maybe I am on a rampage today but really!!! I was at my sewing
machine dealer and was interested in the ruffler foot but when I saw
the price of $72.95 I about choked. So after doing a little research
online and then going to ebay I found the same foot for $29!! Now I
know that everyone in...

Your thoughts on arranging by
Polly Esther
There's a scrappy quilt in progress on my design wall, probably every color
you can imagine and the pattern is sort of Irish Chain. For a while, the
blocks were made with high contrast. Early on, I realized that there was
too much dazzle and I've added some quiet blocks of softer colors. ...

Your thoughts on Christmas tree skirts? by
Polly Esther[_5_]
Between the wedding and Christmas goings on, I never did wrap gifts; just
sacked them and handed them out. That was okay. The traffic coming through
all seemed to admire the barren Christmas tree skirt and begged for one.
So. I would like to make four before Dec 1st.
Here's ambivalence at...

YoYo Design Help by
joan8904 in Bellevue Nebraska
Okay, so I got this yoyo maker. Now the question is, what do I do
with all of the yoyos that I could make. No intention of making a
bedspread; would like something that isn't completely kitschy.

Yoyoville Finished by
joan8904 in Bellevue Nebraska
I apologize for having been awol, but my attention has been
wandering. I've been knitting a lot and I've decided to quit my job
at the quilt store. It's been fun, but it's time for a change. I'm
looking forward to having more time for my projects (quilted or
knitted) and there's a new grandbaby...

Yuck! by
Natalie
I stayed up an extra two hours this evening trying to finish my mini RR
and it didn't work! I'm so annoyed. I'm too tired right now to figure
out why it didn't work. :(- (me pouting with my tongue stuck out!)
I'm trying to figure out if I should rip it up and start over, or just
re-cut the...

Zero detergent by
jennellh
Has anyone tried the new one? The ads demonstrate it with 2 bowls of
water containing red/green dyes - one bowl has the 'zero for all
colours' added and then 2 white polo necks are dunked - you can guess
the results! The zero-added water doesn't transfer the dyes to the
sweater while the other...

Zig Zag quilt pattern by
Nann
I was looking at quilters' blogs this morning and found this:
http://tinyurl.com/d7gbv8
....how to make a zig-zag quilt without triangles
This would be easy and attractive -- a good charity quilt design --
and a good stash-user-upper.

zigzag stitch for quilting? by
Irrational Number
I'm making a quilt-as-you-go quilt
in 60" strips. I have two strips
done, but the backing fabric isn't
wide enough to really hem properly.
Would it be a bad thing to use a
zigzag stitch to quilt the two
sections together? I've already
pieced the top together.
