kato clay question by
Carla
Yesterday, I picked up my first package of Kato polyclay. I know it
comes highly recommended. When I opened the package, I was struck by
the *very* strong odor from it. I worked with it for a bit (easy to
knead right out of the wrapping) and started shaping some beads, but the
smell started to...

beginner question : differences between some clays by
@rrowbase suvarow dot com
Hi, i've used water-based clay for a time but i'm totally new to
sculpting polymer clay (is it the same as 'oil-based clay' ?), and i'd
like to order some to give it a try.
But i'm quite lost between the different qualities available. I'm not
interested (a priori but again, i'm not sure) in...

A lot of artists working with various materials have found my dichroic

that spirit, I'm making them available at a starting bid of $2 less than
usual, and if you mention this ad, I'll provide the (USA only) s/h cost at

simulating ice to add on baked clay by
Gary
Hi...I am new to the polymer clay craft.
I would like to know what the best thing to use to simulate ice, which
I can add to items that were already baked.
I tried some epoxy, which was okay, but turned a little yellow, and
also had some bubbles in it. I've heard that maybe clear silicone
would...

Any advice for high altitude baking? by
Oppie
We live above 7000 feet in New Mexico. When cooking food, it does make a
difference, mostly due to the decreased boiling point of water (less
than 200 degress Fahrenheit at this altitude).
Has anyone ever baked polymer at a high altitude? Does it require a
lower temperature, or perhaps longer or...

Can you recommend an over for polymer? by
Oppie
I'm interested in working with polymer and I was told that I shouldn't
use my regular kitchen oven. I'm not sure what the dangers or fuss and
muss might be, but she told me that I should get a separate oven in
which to bake the polymer.
I assume that the person who told me this (if indeed it is a...
