Big finish! by
Sara
I have finally finished Chatelaine's Pompeji Mandala. It took over a
week just to bead the thing, and boy was I glad I used 28 ct. fabric!
And I'm glad a size 28 tapestry needle works for the Delicas, or my
poor fingers would have been hamburger.
In case anyone wants to see it, it's at...

Need help finding a pattern by
Joan E.
Greetings to the all-knowing community known as rctn!
My sister is looking for a pattern to make slippers that look like
Converse sneakers, knit or crochet. Does anyone know of one, other
than the baby booties or knit tops attached to the rubber bottoms I've
found already on the 'net? My...

OT Java? by
Olwyn.Mary
My computer keeps telling me to update Java. I can find no trace of
existing Java on my computer apart from an earlier update which I must
have obediently downloaded. Is this something I need? I hate to have
my hard drive cluttered up with unnecessary stuff.

where is everybody? by
Susan Hartman[_2_]
I haven't seen any new messages at all (other than the recipe I posted)
in two days. Is everyone gone all at once?
I haven't picked up a needle in three days and am going through
withdrawal. Tonight, some stitching time for sure!! I've finished
stitching two ornaments from the JCS 2010 issue -...

Equivalent Floss to Perle by
Lucille
Question for the group that knows it all,
I have a pattern that calls for a very small amount of #12 Perle Cotton.
I really don't want to buy a full ball of this particular color and wondered
how many strands of 6 strand DMC floss, or whatever, I could substitute.

Question on Metallics by
Fred
I know some one here has an answer to this.
I'm working on a cross stitch design that requires two strands of floss and
one strand of gold metallic thread. The metallic thread is a real bear to
work with. Half of the time it falls out of the needle or tangles on the
front or back. I've tried...

Lucy was out. After finishing, he left to take care of another matter

She came in and undressed to take a shower Before getting in...

VOT.. A Dark and Stormy Night. by
Gillian Murray
Bob Hill and his new wife Betty were vacationing in Europe... as it
happens, near Transylvania. They were driving in a rental car along a
rather deserted highway. It was late and raining very hard. Bob could
barely see the road in front of the car. Suddenly, the car skids out of
control! Bob...

Does anyone remember the AFARR? by
Trish Brown
I was thinking about it the other day: seeing I'm nearly in me dotage,
I'd sort of like to finish it. Does anyone know where it ended up?
I s'pose it's been a bit too long to assume it's still around? Or is it?
If anyone can help, I'd appreciate an email. :-D

About recycling old tees into rugs? by
Kalmia
Some thrift columnist talked of converting old tees into rag rugs or
placemats, mentioning crochet. How in the world would you join em,
even if you took the time to cut the tee into longish strips? Sounds
very labor intensive. Any ideas, ladies and gents?
btw, finished that afghan - cat enjoys...
