OT - Keep fingers (and toes) crossed! by
AliceW
I told you about a health issue my DH has been experiencing since last fall.
Your prayers and good thoughts have helped more than you know. He has
undergone a bunch of doctor appointments, all who required a battery of
tests. I think we finally have enough to figure out what is going on.
Well,...

Elm Creek Fabrics! by
AliceW
I just logged on to the website of Quilted Treasures in Atco, NJ - a shop my
sister and I visited for the first time a few weeks ago. Lynn said their
website would be up soon. I received her newsletter just now and she
highlighted the fact that she had just received the Elm Creek fabrics...

On the main task bar, choose Tools, then Options, then click the Read tab.

Big happy dance for me! by
Kathy in CA
This weekend I COMPLETED my first quilt. It's not the first quilt I started,
just the first one DONE. It's my 4-patch lap quilt and it nigh on to
perfect! I had one OOOOOPS which I fixed and then covered with my quilt
label :) Fortunately it was at a corner where the first border starts.
I quilted...

glass that sits behind by machine and then thread over the top of the
machine. Seems to help. Also, I use metallic thread sometimes and find if I
don't put the thread through the first theading holder dealie (love...

Jalynne
I finally got some time to myself yesterday and spent several hours finishing up a
couple of UFO's that are clogging the creativity, so to speak. You can find the pix
on my website. Just look for What's New on the home page.

NEWBIE Question by
Mignon
Hello! I am brand, spanking new at quilting, and I would like very much to get some advice. Exactly what kind of thread should I use for my first quilting project. It will be a four-patch with a twist, using cotton thread. While exploring the Internet, I see all kinds of threads - 35 wt., 40-wt.,...

headwear from quilt fabric? by
Ann Adamson
I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to take some of my favorite
fabrics and turn them into headscarves to wear during my chemo. If I have
to wear something on my head, it might as well be a fabric I love! Does
anybody have a pattern, or a tip on how to do a teensy rolled hem by
machine? ...

Poconos Quilting Must Sees? by
Melinda Hartman
DH and I are going to the Poconos in September, and I am trying to get
together a list of must-see places to go! Of course, from my point of
view, those are the quilting/crafty places. From his point of view,
it's the science, geeky techy places! :)
We will be there almost a week, and don't...

OT- DB in USA by

My big bro left Oz for US last Wed. I'm not sure of his itinerary - he goes
over for a visit this time every year. He is right into car racing so visits
his 'petrolhead' mates. Last year he did the coast to coast drive, it took
me ages to look at all his photos. I'm looking forward to this years...
