FINALLY: Fall One-to-One Fat Quarter Swap by
MelissaInNJ
Before I call for participants, this Fall One-to-One Fat Quarter Swap
is RCTQ's choice as far as theme is concerned. So what do you all want
to swap? Last fall it was "fall themed" so don't know if you want to
do that again or do something different. Majority wins so fire your
ideas...

International Talk Like a Pirate Day (actually ON topic!) by
Kathy Applebaum
As some of you may know, today (September 19) is International Talk Like a
Pirate Day. The question is, how best to celebrate?
DH offered to let me shiver his timbers tonight, but I was thinking of a
more public celebration. And naturally, stash raids came to mind.
So, in the spirit of the day,...

I didn't make it to the Sewing Expo (sigh) by
juliasb(nospam)
The best laid plans of mice and men.... sigh Well I didn't make it
to the American Sewing Expo over the weekend. Believe me I did my best
to get there. I was even within a mile of the expo center and time was
not on my side so we had to just drive by and I waved as we passed the
convention...

Lemoyne star take 2 by
Mel Rimmer
Tonight I made a Lemoyne star without the strip piecing (but in a
different size than the first one - well, otherwise it would be too
easy, wouldn't it?) just to see if I could figure it out. It worked much
better. The centre lies beautifully flat, and the central seam makes a
pretty swirl just...

Cleaning up, finishing, and planning the next one by
Lynne Van
Last night I made the second-to-last block for my stars and
plaids quilt, and I am very pleased with it. I have the blocks
on the design wall, some sewn together in 4's, and just have a
little rearranging to do tonight so I can finish sewing them
together.
The plan for the borders is not working...

Searching for EQ quilt shop link by
Marilyn
Hi,
Awhile back EQ's website had a link for a quilt shop that showed their
fabric samples in bitmap format which could be used to add fabric to
the EQ fabric library. (Hope that makes sense!)
Anyway, I never saved the link to the quilt shop and would love to
have it again.
If anyone has it,...

OT Pix of Hatteras Island, or what's left of it by
AliceW
Most of you know that my DH and I vacation in Hatteras at least twice per
year. We generally stay in Frisco or Buxton, renting a house for the week.
The Outer Banks took a direct hit from the hurricane and are now trying to
restore power and water utilities. We have a house reserved...

Jill Pochik
Is there a printable Joann's coupon currently available?
I would love to be able to purchase several of their 10 yard rolls of
batting for the animal rescue quilts I make.
Thanks for any help with this.

Virus reported by
Nell Reynolds
I just got a message saying my Norton Anti-Virus detected a virus on an
e-mail to me. It then proceeded to list about 20 addresses that I
recognized from this newsgroup.
Please check your own virus protection. My DH has installed a firewall and
Norton on our server at home, so all I get of that...

Japanese quilting shops by
Mark
My wife and I will be in Tokyo from 28 September for a week and we would
love to hear from people who live there or have visited to know where to
find the local quilting outlets. Searching the web provides a lot of
information (I think) in Japanese only and that unfortunately does not help
me too...

With DH overseas protecting the world against the Red Threat, I was living
with my parents when I produced DS, the first grandchild to be born in the
world! My father, a willing acolyte, was fetching some needed item, with
his back to me and DS the first time I changed DS's diaper. I took the...
