recipes by
Red Deer

go with the pot but there must be a better way to do it than the way I
have been doing it. I write out a recipe on an index card and just
lay it on the pot. Not only is it tiring but very time consuming.
Does any one...

Airbrushing glaze by
Tass
I am actually a ceramicist but decided to post here because this questions
would apply to pottery as well as ceramics. I have always be told "not to
airbrush" glazes as it is a dangerous process due to the frit and chemicals
in the glazes. Is this indeed an unhealthy practice and could it be...

cone 6 porcelain by
Red Deer
Hi Everyone,
I fired a piece of Laguna Frost cone 6 porcelain using my regular cone
6 stoneware glaze and the glaze ran. It doesn't on stoneware. Does
anyone know if there is something about porcelain that would cause a
glaze to run? It was the first time I fired porcelain. Do you have
to use a...

Clay Boss wheel - blown circuitboard - I need a part, but from where? by
töff
Didn't just blow the fuse, also blew the yellow disk capacitor on the
circuit board (and I hope nothing else!). The board is marked KBDM
REV.A 111894. It's Creative Industries Clay Boss, nice little wheel if
I can fix it.
Problem is, the capacitor has no legible value on it, like in farads,
so I...

New elements? by
Sue Roessel Dura
Hi Folks,
My firing times are increasing and the final ramp temperatures are
falling below those programmed so I'm thinking it's time for new
elements. Since this will be the first new set since I bought the
kiln, do you have any helpful advise for me?
Thanks!
Sue -
