Hi I'm Back by
Cher
Hi all, exhausted, but back, funny how you don't feel tiried when you are
away, then you get home and all you want to do is sleep...or I do..LOL.
I had a great time. My friend picked me up from Paddington, (London)
about 1:30pm on tuesday, and we went to her home to offload my bag, then
have...

weird pattern request by
news.sonic.net
I bought 6 skeins of OLD yarn on ebay. It was really cheap and looked
interesting. I mentioned it in another thread - phentex celaspun in robin's
egg blue.
It is weird yarn, and is very industrial - I could crochet slippers that
would last forever with it. It is hard to crochet with.
I was...

OT - Good news finally by
Pirjo Ilvesvuori
The net and Messenger co-operate again. I had to wait only 1
night. I slept through the day...had to pay some dream debt,
you know. But now I am fine. I think it is my bedtime soon
again.
Best: Pirjo

I'll put up photos tomorrow of the wet-finished shawl, probably with

model it this evening :)

Converting sleeves from set-in to raglan? by
[email protected]
Hi all
Because I have broad shoulders, raglan sleeves suit me best, and because
I have a reasonably sized bust, V-necks and wrap-over styles suit me
best, and because I am short-waisted, longer fitted styles suit me best,
and because of my overall shape, fine knits suit me better than chunky.
So...

Payback for men that Knit by
Agres
My old climbing buddy (Bob) has been very, very disparaging of my knitting.
He had been making comments like, "Only a sissy would knit!" But, he has
been busy, and out of the country, so he had not actually seen anything that
I had knit.
Last night Bob came by for a beer, and saw the Lopi socks ...

Raglan Sleeve Sweater Question? by
Louise Weiler
Hi all - I usually just lurk (and pick up tips!), but now I have a
question...
I just finished a raglan sleeve pullover for DS. It's a no-sew version :-),
BUT, I have a hole about the size of a nickel under each arm. Any idea why
that happened? Is it because I am a loose knitter? For this...

Knitter's meeting by
Shillelagh
I went to that knitter's meeting at Chapters last night and really enjoyed
myself. Five of us turned up, and while we were there, a lady came in the
room, asked to borrow a folding chair, and noticed we were knitting while we
chatted. She was very interested and sounds like she might come next...

Kool ais found in Stockholm! by
Anna MCM
Hi!
I found Kool Aid in Stockholm, or even better, Kool Aid found me!
I was walking along Odengatan when I saw a shop window with a lot of
colorful stuff. I looked better and yes, a American shop!
I entered and looked around, searching for Kool Aid (you got me really
curious!). I had no idea of...

Shawl pattern, yes again! by
Bryan
ok, someone sent me a link of an awesome up-close look at a shawl, since I'm
still a novice (3 years; I can do all the basic stitches) I have no Idea
what stitch this might be, and still can't see a repetitive pattern to
follow. http://www.luxuryfashion.com/boutique_cdb.html These are listed...
