making hand puppets for 6 year olds by
noone
I asked my sons teacher if she needed anything for the class, and she
told me they'd like some puppets.
I had a look at some websites, but all the hand puppets for sale of
people were white or really expensive - as about 1/3 of the kids in my
sons class are black or asian I don't want to give them...

Has anyone found the old Infinite dress pattern, please? Quite a few people
appear to be interested in seeing it but I have been unable to find it on
the discontinued section of McCall Patterns.

Which Pfaff Machine for Me? by
Ida Boyens
I'm interested in purchasing a Pfaff sewing machine. I do slipcovering
of furniture and have an industrial Pfaff that I sew heavy, multi layers
and welting with. Now I need a machine for finer work that I do with
window treatments, pillows and toile handbags that I make. I have just
started looking...

Ping: Tom Farrell by
Arri London
In a previous thread you mentioned a Japanese Imperial presentation coat
that you made. However you didn't see/reply to my post asking exactly
what that was. Is it similar to what Prime Minister Koizumi was shown
wearing at his swearing-in? Like a morning...

taking in a pleated skirt by
Casey Kane
Hello kind sewing folks!
I have two cute longer pleated skirts i would like to take in, but i
am wondering if this is a very difficult endeavor. Do you have to
remove the skirting from the waistband to do this? One is just a bit
too big in general, so i might be able to do it up the back...

Threads back cover by
joy beeson
I just got the January (#116) issue of threads. My first
thought on seeing the "blouse" on the back cover was that it
must be underwear; lovely construction, but surely nobody
would want to be seen like that! Then I thought that part
of the underwear look came from fitting the garment to
someone...

Looking for Red & Black Wool Check Fabric by
Mtsny0
Good evening!
I thought I'd ask the experts.
Does anyone know of an online site that carries red & black wool check fabric -
like used in lumberjack shirts? With checks about 1" square?
I'm a quilter and can track down any batik on the planet. But when it comes to
fabric for clothes, I'm...

Draft a bra pattern from a sloper by
TJones3676
The sloper used should be a perfect fit for the person for whom the bra is to
be drafted. The front and back are drafted at the same time.
1. Trace the front and back slopers, including the darts. If there is a side
seam in the sloper, picot it into the waistline dart before beginning.
2. ...

The kids just came home from school with a notice that the school is

wondering if anyone had ever...
