tulip or flower applique? by
Johanna Gibson
Hello,
I want to do a tulip applique, or perhaps just a flower, using
green, purple and a multi-coloured floral on cream. I'm stumped. I
tried google, but only got pictures of quilts instead of actual
applique designs for blocks. Does anyone have a good link for what
I'm after?

quilters dream - dream angel by
Anne Rogers[_3_]
I've just finished a quilt top that's hovering between double and queen,
can't decide whether or not to an an extra side border both sides and
make is usable on both, but that's beside the point, I'll be wanting to
baste it fairly soon and I was wondering about using dream angel as it's
for a...

Interesting internet library by
jennellh
I have a habit (good or bad...) of clicking on some of the google
group advertisements - this one is an interesting one with lots of
possibilities for browsing the various topics - quilts among them but
also there is a 'reading room' which lists worldwide news paper
links. The quilts link to...

Warm & Safe Batting? by
Mickie Swall
The Warm Company who makes Warm & Natural cotton batting has a new
batting that is made from Plantation Trees (what ever those are) and
this batting is supposed to be flame retardant. One of these battings
has come to me with a commissioned quilting project, and I'm curious
to know if any of you...

Just a warning by
John
To all you quilters and anybody else,
This is a warning for Road Runner customers. I got one of those spam
warnings that R.R. was changing over their servers and that they would
need to update the customer information on the new servers. They
instructed me to click on their accounts dept. link and...

Google ate my homework. by
John
I don't know if this has happened to anybody else, but Google, or some
malevolent force, has eatten a number of my replies to postings on
this forum over the last few days. They show as "successful" and then
never show up. I know that they often take awhile but 3-4 days?
As they used to say back in...

New space for quilting by
Elizabeth in Clayton,NC
Howdy folks!
It has been awhile since I posted to the group... years even? I sure
have missed you, but just had too much on my plate to participate.
To be honest, a lot has happened since my last lurk... and
unfortunately, quilting was not part of the happenings.
The short of it is:

Great Internet Shop Service by
WitchyStitcher
After Suzanne Rose was born, I was trying to decide what kind of quilt
to make her when I remembered a quilt kit I bought a few years ago. I
bought it because it made such a beautiful display on my antique
sewing machine. It was fabric from P&B's Rosewater collection. The
main fabric looked like a...

Quilt Sandwiched by
Sally Swindells
Actually taken a decent photo of the Forest Baby Quilt for the Bird
Reserve Warden's baby due in October. DH (the ornithologist) wanted me
to use 'grown-up' pictures, not cartoons, and complained that the
animals have human eyes, as it was human eyes or cartoons, the eyes won!
Hopefully...

September 11, 2001 by
Rita
I was so saddened by the event especially since I worked in the area as a
teenager just out of high school. My daughter and son in law lost many
friends there.
A story to tell you: Some firemen went up in one of the buildings and
proceeded to bring down one woman. She wanted to give up at a...
