Good free find for storage/other uses by TinaR
If you have a Kilwin's Ice Cream near you, they normally give away their plastic ice cream containers - all washed and pretty. They are the large ones that they use in the cases for ice cream cones. These make great wastebaskets in your sewing room when you have QI's who like to overturn your...

We have a pile of blocks sitting the floor in the design of the Rastafarian flag. It just sort of happened, they were intended to complement the colours of some animal prints for a cot quilt. Obviously, there are more appropriate things to pair them with. Anybody here got a ganja-leaf block...

Comparison of OTT, Verilux, Ultralux and Bell+Howell by Soluxlamps
We went out and bought lamps from these four companies and measured their spectrums. We published our findings (spectral plots and CRI calculations based on spectral sampling of every 10 nm.) at the web page below. We were not surprised to find that their CRI claims are far from accurate. Buyer...

Neckties by Liz A.
I need some help/thoughts. Several years ago one of the gentlemen and good friend that I worked for at a large corporation asked me if I could use all his old neckties in my quilting. I said sure. Fabric Softners by Bobbie Sews More
I know we have discussed this before, but I didn't need the answers then, and I do now. A friend--not me---used way too much fabric softener and now water just slides off her washcloths. I was thinking that LOTS of washings with vinegar might wash the fabric softener out. Any other ideas?? ...
