Good Saturday afternoon by
Shillelagh
Hi everyone!
It's a cold (-10C 14F), clear sunny afternoon here on the Canadian prairie.
It went down to -30C last night, so I plugged my car in. It's not too bad
outside, since there's very little wind.
Ken & I are working hard, cutting and splitting wood, right now he's got the
snowblower...

Irish Fisherman by
vanmier[_2_]
Please help,
I am looking for a crochet pattern for an Irish Fisherman sweater. All I
can find on the web are knit patterns. Does anyone know where I can find
one that is crocheted?

Dog Hair/making something sentimental by
GoldSeraph
Hi,
I'm new. I have a question. My silky terrier canine has passed away. I was saving her hair to make a sentimental treasure from her.
I would like to make something like a scarf, hat, or any ideas would be appreciated. But I don't know how to prepare the hair/fur, i.e. like washing it,...

crocheted nativity set by
B Vaughan
Several years ago I downloaded the pattern for a crocheted nativity
set from the internet, designed by Tammy Blakely. There were only a
few pieces in the intstructions, and the web page said that there were
more to come.
Then about two years ago, thanks to a discussion in rcty, I found...

One beef so far by
DAB[_2_]
Got my Rave invite and was setting up the notebook....finished stuff and the
only way to load a pix of items is via flicker.......I hate flicker as for
me on a slow dial up it takes forever....all of my pixs are saved on my hard
drive, so other than not being able to post pixs so far looks good...

any knitters in San Antonio? by
Mystified One[_2_]
I'll be going there for training in a week and a half, but I'll have my
evenings and weekends free. Are there any good yarn shops I need to stake
out? Payday occurs while I'm out of town! :o)

Recent Projects by

I have been busy recouping from my laminectomy on L3, 4, & 5. It is
doing ok.
I am working on a crocheted queen size afghan that it smocked to pull
every other row together to make kind of a diamond shape. It has been
on the hook for several month. Millions of ends to be sewn in after...

My sister-cousin Linda passed away today!
I just received a phonecall from Liam (Linda's son) who told me that his
mother passed away today at 12:25 PM. I am heartbroken, but I know it is a
blessing that she is no longer in pain. The service will be held on Friday
in Toronto, but as much as...

Saturday afternoon by
Shillelagh
Well, here it is, the middle of November, and not a snowflake in sight.
This is very unusual for the prairies in Canada. We usually have snow by
Hallowe'en. Don't get me wrong - I'm not complaining. It's weird to see
green grass on the septic field and DH is actually talking about trying to
get...
