Sunbonnet Sue gone bad by
Debi Matlack
In regards to this swap, have you seen the quilt at The Quilt Index? It's
called "The Sun Sets on Sunbonnet Sue" and it has Sue offing herself or
being sent to meet her Maker in many ways. Macabre, but funny.

Looking for bird pattern and Nightmare fabric -- any ideas? by
\Pussywillow\ Volfie
I'm looking for a pattern I saw quite a bit a year or so ago: it's a whacky
looking bird with long legs and in each panel of the quilt, the position of
the legs are slightly different. (The body of the bird was sort of
tear-drop shaped, IIRC.) When I saw it, the background fabric was black and
the...

Quilt backing by
Robin
Has anyone tried making a quilt back from scraps? What I'm thinking of would, more or less, be a crazy quilt on one side and different block patterns on the other side. If you have tried this, how did it work out? Too many seams, too much bulk? Or was it okay?
Thanks!
Robin

My day at the quilt-a-thon by
Julia Altshuler
I met a woman at the opening reception of a quilt show last week and
liked her. A friend who also knows her knew that she was organizing a
quilt-a-thon through her congregation and invited me to come. I jumped
at the chance. A quilt-a-thon is an organized event in which volunteers
show up with...

Friendship Quilt by
Tamara
I am a member of a mini group. One of the members will be moving in 5
months or less. We'd like to make her a quilt. I was wondering besides
the friendship star what other type of block could be use as we want to
sign the center of the block we make. As of right now we want to make
it a two...

OT - newsreader needed by
Donna A
I just switched my internet service to a wireless internet provider only to
find out that they don't provide newsreader service. So, I downloaded
Forte-Agent thinking I could use that. Well! It wants the info about my
new internet provider and then tells me that it doesn't work (in their...

Pattern problem -- I need someone who can think better than me by
Violet \F'loonslayer\ Volfie
I found a nice little site that has a BoTM for free on it. The problem is,
I can't print out the pattern so I've been drafting up the blocks from the
instructions. I'm having a problem figuring out one piece of the pattern
and I need someone who thinks more mathematically than I do to tell me if...

VERY VERY OT & LONG - E-commerce websites? by
Paul & Suzie Beckwith
This is a long shot, very OT so please skip if you want - I fully
understand! But I'm hoping someone can give me some guidance, or at
least a bit of moral/mental support here...
I work part-time in a local craft shop - I'd be there full time but
Karen can't afford to pay me a proper wage - at...

OT Thanks by

for all the prayers and good thoughts. Last update, MIL is still very
heavily sedated. When they tried to wake her earlier she started fighting
so they will try again tomorrow. DH's sister is doing hospital duty tonight
so he is going to dinner with one friend and will stay with another...

Question re joining quilt as you go blocks by
smudge in oz
I've dipped in and out of this group over the past three or four years
(mostly lurking). Delighted to see so many familiar names each time -
love the roll call. Need to find a few hours to read through it all!!
I would like to quilt blocks separately (so a hand quilting project is
more portable)...

Quilting day week 2 by
maryd
I finished the binding on DD#2's quilt.
http://community.webshots.com/photo/113209455/257016022RoNiKb
I also got a lot of organizing done in my sewing room. One of these days I
might get it set up to where I can actually sew in there. With everything
sorted I can really see that I need to reduce...

Fudge... by
Kate Dicey
We like fudge, don't we?
Possibly not all of us like it quite as much as chocolate...
However, in this instance, fudge is what we need, and chocolate will
have to wait until later...
Remember before Christmas that I got yelled at by a Fat Quarter book
quilt that wanted to be made? Well, I did...

OT - looks like we're leaving again by
Queen of Squishies
Remember that drain problem I was having while Bob was in the hospital?
Well, it got worse. We can run any water at all. No dishes, no toilets, no
showers. Of course Bob only has the use of one arm and can't fix anything
right now. Can't pay a plumber Saturday wages. So-o-o-o......... it...

OT - Nikki's quilt by
Johanna Gibson
I delivered Nikki's quilt and matching cushion tonight - she was
very happy with it, and put it on the bed straight away. We filled
the pockets of the jeans in the quilt with her bean bag animals... and
I took photos. That was the end of the roll, so I'll get them
developed tomorrow!
She said her...
