One of my sewing machines is a New Home 445 from the early 60's (I think). I was messing around on ebay (just looking at the listings, not really "shopping" for anything). Well, anyway, there were 2 listings for New home 445's on it (there were actually more than that, I think, but I am just...

Sewing Scissors by Brian Christiansen
I have a couple of pair of sewing scissors. Two are Fiskars, and will tell the story of why I have 2 if somebody wants me to, but my main questions is about my other pair. I have another pair that I suppose is part of my "inheritance" from my late mother. It is a pair of heavy duty Wiss...

Heat n bond question? by [email protected]
You can buy this heat and bond at Wal-mart as I use it all the time. You apply it to the back of the fabric, then heat it with an iron, pull off paper and then applique it. Don't think it would work for turning under but works good for blanket stitch or zig zag. Sandy$

OT Moving by Night Mist
Well we got all our stuff moved, though we are far from organized yet. We did not clean the old place as much as we would have liked because the plumbing went from bad to worse and we had to turn the water off to avoid flooding and electrocution and badness. The horrible couch and matching chair...
